Does Woll make it back by February? or is he out til near end of season? Thanks gents for update .. i am on a siesta down south
Leafs have 13 games in January with the last one on January 27. Their next game after that is February 5th.

Don’t expect to see Woll in January but we will see him back at some point in February.

I posted earlier in the thread, Liljegren missed 6 weeks with the same injury. If Woll isn't atlest back on the ice within that time frame, that is when people should get nervous.

Does Woll have a history of being injury prone? Will injuries relegate him to being just a tandem guy?

Woll's been injury prone for his whole pro career, so additional depth needs to be built into the goalie position. What they had with Woll, Samsonov and Jones was appropriate, they just needed someone more reliable than what Samsonov turned out to be.

Wow, that's bad. I guess I've never had a high ankle sprain because I've had some nasty ankle sprains and I don't think it ever lasted more than a weak before I was back to myself.

So another month puts him into February before he is coming back.

Again, Murray is still recovering from surgery that'd he had at the beginning of the year

People heal at different rates. I've had a few ankle sprains and I found it difficult to not be aware of it even after resuming normal duties, which for me would be less intensive than an NHL goalie. I felt also that having the injury made me think I'd be more prone to have another in the future. A year or so after each ankle injury I stopped thinking about them, till the next time it happened.

We need Woll to get well soon but I think we should give up an asset to acquire another goalie on an expiring contract if we can. Just in case Woll cannot return to form or he re-injures it. Some tough choices ahead.

Not sure why Woll might be accompanying the team out west...sounds like a dumb idea to me.

I really hope this guy has better luck health-wise going forward. Not great if our goalie of the future is constantly sitting on the IR for months at a time.

Being the weakest team at the G position feels great. I live for this /s

Agreed. But one silver lining is with Hildeby and Akhtyamov especially, our goalie prospect pipeline looks really strong right now. Even if they're not ready right now, I don't think we'll have all our eggs in the Woll basket as far as the goalie of the future.

The team is screwy.
Woll leaves Toronto to be on the trip out west with the team, which he cannot play on because of injury, but now they announce he is staying in Toronto during the all star break to further rehab and is NOT close to returning.
Wow...WTF was he doing traveling.

If anything, if 2/3 or 3/3 hit, there is a good trade chip.
