See you guys in a few weeks
hopefully !
that f***ing injury seems to take forever to heal and it always seems to linger the whole season

I can't imagine how this is the best possible news lol high ankle sprains are a bitch to recover from. This is the best possible news. Wish him the best recovery
Jones is very capable back up. He can fill in.

What goes on Robidas island, stays on Robidas island. You don't come back from Robidas Island.
I mean I am not saying it is the worst news lol but he is probably still looking at a solid 6 week+ recovery time. That is firmly not in best case scenario in my books. As opposed to the MCL, ACL route…
Not only will the Leafs no longer be carried by a high end goalie, they're likely going to have to find a way to carry poor goaltending. Not sure they have it in themSame injury as Lilly
If the leafs don’t get it together at 5v5 we’re about to really fall off. No goalie to carry us anymore…

He’ll be back and hitting his stride for the stretch run. We can only hope Sammy and Marty can run with this. Assuming Sammy will get a chance to be the starter until he’s not. Fortuitous that Jones wasn’t snapped up inhopefully !

I had guessed it was a hip injury, which could be chronic and career-limiting.It’s good news that it’s not a structural. High ankle sprains take easily over a month to heal and it’s painful when it happens. No wonder he couldn’t put weight on it.
More adversity for the leafs to overcome.
