If Sherwood is out I don’t see why you don’t bring him up and give him a look. Guess you want to keep him under 9 games if you can assuming that applies to him.

Definitely would want to keep him under the 9 game limit unless it's felt he can help secure a playoff spot. Otherwise let him continue to acclimate and then a call-up over the last few games to get a taste of the big show.

Id go with Leonard or Kemell is Sherwood will be out. But definitely need to keep kemell under 9 games as there is no point in not letting his contract slide.

Gonna be intriguing to see what happens if all the eligible players are sent back to Milwaukee after the Preds season ends.

Definitely Leonard.

Kemell needs to put on some muscle. People in the AHL seem to pick on him because he is a tall, skinny and fast kid with a good shot. He attracts a lot of cheap shots and the AHL refs rarely call them. He does bang some bodies on the side boards, but isn't a big time checker.

He's like 180 cm & 83 kg. Defnitely not the skinniest guy. But not unsual for a young guy to have to put on more muscle.

After 2 periods, Milwaukee is leading at Rockford 3-1. Soderblom is in goal again for the IceHogs.

At 1:11 of period 1, Kemell (4) scored PPG. In period 2, a pig-on-a-stick went after him, naturally.

Early in period 2, Jordan Gross (10, PPG) hammered a shot from the dot on Soderblom's glove side.
With 22 seconds remaining, Tim Schaller (9) scored to make it 3-1 Admirals. In your eye, Pigs!

If Chicago wins and Rockford loses, Rockford would be in 6th place and out of the playoffs.

Edit: Milwaukee 5 Rockford 1.

In Period 3, Huntington (9) and Schneider (25) scored, the latter was a ENG.

Sounds like it was a great game for Cooley.

Would still like to see Kemell get 1 game with the big team, just to provide some extra motivation and reward him for a good initial foray into the AHL world after coming over. He can't possibly do less than Asplund does.

At this point, it makes a lot of sense to roll the emergency callups and give more guys a chance to put some shifts on tape with the big club. Sanford, McCarron, and Afanseyev have played. We could give one tryout game to Kemell, Kondelik, Nurmi, Mutter, Ratcliffe, Huntington, Rueschhoff, and Angelo.

We can call-up a max of 4 players without emergency recall. And I'm guessing we wait until we are mathematically eliminated before we do that. We almost certainly won't make the playoffs, but weirder things have happened

The 3 I mentioned (and Evangelista) are all up under emergency recall. We can send them back and emergency recall any on the second list, I believe.
