He's clearly waiting for the Ducks to settle things with Lindholm and Rakell and maybe a trade on defense.

Seriously, though, we could use him. So could a few other teams, and thus I'm sure he won't have to look at Europe.

So has 99% of anyone who's ever worked a job before. What's your point?

He played well above what he was paid in Calgary too for the record. (Minus the 3/4 season he was traded. Knew the whole year he would be. Can't blame him for losing motivation). If your next post was hinting at him being overpaid.

You seem to have a little hate towards Hudler. My bad if I'm wrong on that.

No I don't hate Hudler nor did I come close to hinting that he was overpaid. Hudler left the Wings twice. Once when they were the best team in the league, to be paid marginally more in the KHL. And once to go to Calgary when they were one of the worst teams in the league. Plenty of NHL players take less to be in what they believe is a better situation for them. Now I'm not saying that he shouldn't look to maximize his earnings, it is every persons right to do so. I'm just saying that Hudler has never given any indication in his career that he is a guy who will look to sign cheaply on a contender, and there is nothing wrong with that.

He s a winger as is Vesey...I think that is part of the hold up with him. a few teams might have been talking to him but want to wait till after Vesey decides.

If Buffalo doesn't get him they might give Hudler a low 1 yr deal.

I think you may be right.
The Hawks are definitely interested in Vesey and if he doesn't land I can see them going for Hudler.

Yes, I know that. I was referring to "moving forward with the rest of his career".

I think Hudler will be out of their price range, but I agree that Vesey could be holding up some deals. Once that is decided talks will increase with these available forwards. If one will agree to a 1 year 1-1.5 million dollar deal, that is who the Hawks will sign.

Surprised no one has signed him yet...Hes a decent supporting top 6 player.

His play fell off last year. He is small and 32 and just could be slowing down. Many teams may find him a player that is a tweener at 6-7F who cant play 7. Defensive teams wont want him.

He is probably in a bad spot. If he wants to play in the NHL this season, he may need to wait til someone gets an LTIR level injury to get signed as a replacement

Really hoping the Ducks can land him but I'm doubting it at this point. We could really use his skill on the wing.

Canucks have $2.7mil in space with 14 on the roster. Remove 2 and that gets you to something just shy of $4mil. That could probably do it if there is term there. $3.5mil x 5yrs.

Still think a 1x1 with the Penguins then attacking next years FA is the best long term move.

It didn't work out too well for Ehrhoff.

He would still be in the neutral zone when they went to setup offense. I guess unless he plays Brett Hull in St. Louis hockey. I don't see how he fits with the Pens, they play too fast for Hudler.

He got his brain scrambled...could have happened anywhere.

Not if he goes with Malkin. Kunitz kept up with Malkin. Hudler is not slower than Kunitz.
