Henrik with 150,000 miles on the odometer can play back to back at nearly 36 years old. Awesome to see your starter on the bench in a really important game because he isn’t allowed to ever play back to back. Kinkaid has not played anywhere near well enough to supplant Cory in these key games. Cory could have given up 10 goals last night and I would have went right back to him tonight. But this decision was made in advance and I just don’t understand it.

Meh they are desperate, but I wouldn’t do it. Their backup is worse then ours though.

Because it was put together right. Lately they are giving too much time to guys who aren’t producing at all.
Yes, and we have had no real set up for one timers in quite a while either.

If we don't trust our backup goalie to play the back end of a doubleheader against a marginal opponent, we need a new backup.

I wouldn’t classify the rangers as marginal but let’s just go with that anyway. They’re still a division rival and that ups the stakes tonight. It’s a big game and we’re not playing the better goaltender. I’d understand always going to your back up on back to backs if he was a lock but kinkaid has been very spotty at best this season. I just don’t like it and I personally don’t trust kinkaid. His Twitter game is much better than his actual game this season.

Bratt was set up for a few in the first Columbus game I believe, and the coyotes game, but he shanked a shot and broke a stick.

Hischier broke a stick last night on one too.

Where they are taking them from though, we aren't going to score very often. They need to move the puck well and shift the umbrella to the far side so they can drift into the middle more.

He definitely hasn't played well recently, but you can't go away from someone because they have a couple of tough games. He's a career .910. I get that you don't want to give the Rangers points, but I still think it's the right decision over the long run for this team. I don't like playing goaltenders back to back.

I’m curious to see what zacha can bring tonight because I’d honestly like to see him do well, but I’m not expecting much. I just can’t see him shaking his timid play and getting his shit together.

Honestly I still think he is going to need a Bingo stint to shake off the timid play, but I would be happy to be wrong.

Grossman said that is not in the cards. The front office feels he's an NHL player and they trust the coaching staff in NJ to get him where he needs to be.

And if the issue is getting him to play more assertively, I'm not sure playing in Binghamton is going to change much, unless that staff can somehow get through to him.
