They literally just piecemealed 2/3rds of the lineup to squeeze Zacha in.

I am honestly not not sure what is worse...
him sitting or tinkering with the entire lineup just to get him in?

Except the team played bad yesterday so a shuffle was due.

Stafford needed to come out. Zajac needs to be demoted.

I really hope Zacha plays the game of his life and forces Hynes to keep in the lineup but if falls flat on face, again, people should stop bitching at Hynes for his poor play.

He's cantering the 2nd line, now let's see what he's made of.

The 3rd and 4th line we're pretty good last game. Coleman and Gibbons we're good for the whole game... pretty much. It doesn't make a lot of sense to break that up. They have been performing well.

New Jersey Devils @ New York Rangers @ MSG
7:00 PM, MSG+, MSG2
Game 29

What do you do when you've won 1 Stanley Cup in 80 years and your roster is boring and old? You try to beat up on an expansion franchise and feel good about yourself. Good luck Rangers because Jimmy > Kevin, and aint no Pavel Zacha DREW STAFFORD on the ice tonight.

I know, I know.

To be fair, Hynes will address the media at 4:45, so maybe your wildest dreams will come true and PZ37 will be in the game. Follow Amanda Stein's Twitter for updates. UPDATE: OG PZ is IN the game. Stafford out! Zajac demoted. OMG OMG OMG!

Stolen Gif from the 10/14 Devils Rangers GDT. Uhh... I mean... good luck charm!

Don't take these lines as gospel, the guy that posted the Rangers's GDT didn't even know where the game was going to be, so might be Pavelec. Who knows?

I want Zacha in the lineup but rearranging 3 lines to do it seems ridiculous to me.

I'm happy Zacha is in, but I agree. Hynes throws a grenade at the lineup after every loss. I don't know if any line aside from the top line can ever gain any chemistry.

He needs to show fire tonight.

Just doesn't seem to be his personality. He seems very reserved, even keel, and soft spoken. I really don't think you are going to see a ton of emotion out of him. Not that he doesn't care, he just doesn't have the kind of peronality that expresses it a lot.

They didn't rearrange the lineup JUST to get Zacha in, the middle six hasn't worked very well lately. And if they rearranged the lineup considering they've been an unimpressive .500 lately good.

It needs to show in his play. Nico and Bratt are pretty reserved too but you can see the passion in their play.

Lundqvist is playing for NYR

Rangers recognized this is a key game is the season and playoff hunt.

I know goalie dip in back to back and Schneider played poorly last night. But I will take tired Schneider over sub .900 Keith Kinkaid.

The difference between a 6 Point gap from the playoff cutline and a 2 Point gap is big. They only have 2 games left against the Rangers after this and in a 3 Point game world that is difficult to make up with the head to head game necessary.

This is a game we could look back at the difference between making the playoffs and missing the playoffs

They need to rebound tonight after the stinker that was last night. Can't be dropping two in a row to divisional rivals.
