Zacha has not played great yeah, but no else really has been. He deserves a few games of consistant play to show his worth, if he is benched again after tonight then that is just poor management. After tonight he does look like he should be sent down, but give the kid a few games to give concrete proof that the coaching staff and Shero can give to then send him to the AHL

He's had his games, he doesn't produce or show anything else that could help this team

Absolute trash.

WTF are you teaching your defenders Nasreddine?
He needs to go. No defenseman is improving under his watch.
No matter what, you can't keep down the rising tide. If we miss the playoffs again, which would be a collapse, you can't bring back this entire coaching staff next year. Someone has to get Lucille'd on this staff, if not all of them, other than Clowe (I don't know enough about what he does here and this is only his second year here) and Melanson. There's no way all 3 of Lloyd, Harry and Hiney can be here next year. That will be year 4 of this staff? If we sucked at our jobs this bad, we wouldn't get a year four. Even if we worked for a company and they gave us incompetent and broken tools to do the job.

The organization has fired people that were better at their job over these last 3 years (Sherry Ross and Rich Matthews), than these guys.

I'd totally blast Nasreddine into a canyon and hope he lands back in Wilkes Barre somewhere. I think you need to blast him before Ward, but maybe the struggles and poor usage are more due to Hynes having full autonomy than anything? Who knows.

I agree. You can't expect a guy to jump in after all the nonsense Hynes has pulled and be lights out. This is one of Zacha's worst games though and considering he's been scratched after playing a lot better I doubt he'll get another game. It's sad as I remember him being benched/scratched for taking too many penalties last year and now he cleans up his game while a moron like Miles Wood takes bad penalties every game and there's no accountability.

Zacha needs to be sent down.

That said there have been plenty of red flags about him. Iirc, he was a snake bitten player his last year in junior as well. He might not have that extra bit that a player needs to make the jump.

While the defense does stink, the top end talent has been invisible multiple games now

No one is playing well tonight. No one. And i don't expect a guy that hasn't played in 3-4 games to do much tonight in such a **** show.

He's gonna be rusty, even more so right now.

The issue isn't everyone else cause they're locks on this team but Zacha isn't and if you want to be a lock, show something... anything.

He hasn't and that's why he'll most probably be in the press box next game or riding the pine in the 3rd.

He has played tissue soft all year. This is on him. He doesn't belong in the NHL right now.
He hasn't looked nearly this tentative when he played earlier in the season.

"Soft" is a totally sujective assessment. He's not a physical player and I agree he should be more engaged, but it's not a prerequisite to be effective.

Drew Stafford can suck on a nightly basis and he gets until December before hes benched because he's a vet. Zacha has to be Wayne Gretzky after having his ass stapled to the scratch box for a week or you all want him banished to Bingo

Rust shouldn’t be an excuse because he should be busting his f***ing ass in practice to get back into the lineup. I think the team is done with him. They’ve gone tough love on him to try to spark him and maybe it’s a last straw kind of thing. Who knows? But he’s just not putting it together.

Gretzky? Nah he just has to show that maybe he's ready to actually be a contributor and play pissed off. He's blown to good chances and got in the way of a potential breakaway.

Zacha hasn't been at full speed, perhaps cause he hasn't played an nhl game in 2 weeks. Whaf Zacha needs is consistency. He was at his best last year when he was with JaJo and Noesen. Frankly they arent very good but he developed chemistry

That was an awful pass to Severson by Vatanen.

I really don't understand how Zacha looks slow. I don't think he has been that bad, but he's not playing like a guy that needs to take a spot and run with it.

Here's a phrase I've heard many times. I've never seen a guy suffer or get worse from too much time in the AHL. Send zacha down there at least the rest of this season. Maybe even next too. Ask tatar, Nyquist, pacioretty, Kadri, etc.
I'm fine with sending him down. Either play him consistently or send him down. Stop this stupid scratch then play 10 minutes nonsense. It's just plain bush-league roster management from a bush-league coach.

He should spend the rest of the season in Bingo and we can reassess him next year.

Which I've been saying all year. It's clear he needs more development. For heaven's sake, he's only TWENTY YEARS OLD. There's no shame in learning in the AHL, few players break into the NHL by the age of 20. It should be obvious Zacha has a ton to learn, this isnt minor crap. Send him to Binghamton and let him play on the 1st line night in and night out. It's the best thing for his development.

You are a good judge of talent. The "fetus lovers" just dont have the eye like you do.

Accurate.

Zacha looks scared to be out of position. He's extremely tentative.
