JT Miller is better than Pettersson

Sure, he was significantly better in 23-24 but this poll is loosely to defined as best forwards for 24-25.

I mean, would it be that shocking if JTM’s 23-24 was the absolute peak season of his career and EP bounced back to 22-23 form?

What people tend to loose in the outrage is that…well A, it’s a stupid fan poll and B, even if you want to put stock in it - the margins between #X and #Y are essentially non-existent or subject to projection.

if its for how they will perform next season, then I can get behind most of it but if its just for 1 game, right now, theres no way anyone picks Bedard over Kopitar, B Tkachuk, Hischier, Larkin etc. Right?

Rantanen and Robertson are way too high after the seasons they just had. Those are worse rankings than Matthews at 3rd who is a goal-scoring machine, which is probably the hardest aspect of hockey to achieve consistently.

The top 5 has looked like this for 7 years now and they basically just switch position depending on how the previous season went.
I would have a different order just due to playoff performances.

Other than that, I believe that Miller, Stützle and Raymond are far too low.

If Kucherov and Mathews switched teams, I imagine the fan voting would turn out differently.

The same could be said about the respect given to the players. Put kuch on toronto, and suddenly, he's garbage. Leaf hate just because it's the Leafs is a real thing, and it's hilarious how obvious it is.
