Yeah. Right. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Historically, NHL teams with a 2-0 lead in a seven-game playoff are 324-51 (.864) in those series.
I'm old enough to have witnessed our epic collapses against the Oilers 31 years ago, and a few years later against the Canucks (up 3-1 in both series).

While it's better to be up 2-0 than down 2-0, I won't breath easy until after our fourth win of the series.

I am no Maurice lover but I think he did a good job in games 1/2.... also credit to CSW they have looked good and have made less mistakes then normal, they have bought into it. As Maurice said we are giving up some offence to take care of defence. How many breakaways and odd man rushes have we given up? Yes we have still given up chances, but a lot is from the outside and when not we got a vezina goalie. We are doing this with the current defence we have and without our best forward.... i know people on twitter are still saying we are just a team with a goalie. I think they forgot our forward group depth and talent when healthy.

I just don't see Jesse ever being better than Laine; Laine can score and Jesse cannot.

That's all Laine can do though, is produce a good shot. He's like a "relief pitcher" in baseball, that only comes in for the last 1 or 2 innings.

Laine is slow -- Jesse is fast, and a way better stick handler. Jesse looks like he plays with some determination and effort, and Laine does not. Laine continually turns over the puck and Jesse does not.

Jesse's scoring will pick up as he starts to mature, but he's more of a complete hockey player than Laine IMO. I'm very glad we got rid of Laine, as I viewed him as a liability.

If your just looking at it from a goal scoring perpective, I guess you may say Laine is the better player -- but just for goals. You also have to look at this year and last, and Laine hasn't been scoring that much at all. He needs to be spoonfed by very talented playmakers, or not much production. On top of that, he wants in the $ 9- 10 mil range to sign, and I don't think he's worth anywhere near that.

Laine needs to change his attitude, and work on his physical conditioning, and become a complete player, or he may end up being just an average player in the NHL, compared to being the Superstar everyone thought he would become. I don't see it.

The more i see Stanley play the more he's starting to remind me of Zdeno Chara , man if he gets anywhere close to that what a draft pick.

I'm really liking what I see from Stanley as well, and he's getting better everytime out. I also like his physical presence back on defence, and I think we really need that, since Buff left. He does not look out of place at all, and will only get better over time. I hope the Jets protect him in the expansion draft. They better. We may lose a guy like Harkins or someone, but we shouldn't lose Stanley. This guy is good.

Dumped quite a bit on CSW, at times during the season against the Oil.
They would cheat for chances and do flybys in all zones.....while the Oilers (McDrai) kept caving them in with odd man breaks, breakaways and countless other quality scoring chances. It was pretty ugly, combined with their lack of scoring as well.

But to their credit - they have bought into the team idea.....that if you can contain the one Oil line......Edmonton can be had.

I called it at the beginning of the season and damn near every day since that we didn't trade away our 1st this year for defensive help in order to keep Seattle from poaching our players. I'm almost certain that Chevy is going to pull a similar situation to last year and offer up our first to move back in the draft so Seattle takes someone like Jordie Benn.

That's a very good idea Dax, and I hope Chevy can make a deal like you suggest here, as I think it's important we keep Stanley.

Just think of his potential in a couple of years of regular NHL play.

Unless they plan on taking a forward like Harkins then we lost a 1st for nothing other than certainty. Such a tough decision.

What a game! So impressed with the Jets going in and winning both games on the road.

This commitment to defense, limiting odd man chances against and not running around the defense zone is exactly what everyone has been asking for all year.

So many players deserve a tip of the cap I can't do them all.

Keep it up Jets!
