Jets and Rodgers officially done as Jets will move on and release Rodgers
He was more physically gifted than Brady/Manning as a passer, but doesn't have the passion/drive to maintain that elite level and put in the work to do so like they did. If you are a team just looking to be more competitive, but not a contender, like the Raiders, I can see them bringing him in. But, don't expect him to change from what he's been the past 3-4 years. Don't expect him at all off-season workouts and the like. The right move
People will point to his stats as an excuse but he was garbage. Painfully slow and that locker room needs a breath of fresh air. Mr R was throwing everyone left and right under the bus and his body language was absolutely terrible on the field
Just not worth it anymore

Everything written there is correctThe right move

Didn't their kicker lose them like 4 games by blowing field goals at the end of games? The right move

If the kicker doesn't misses those kicks, that's a couple more wins on the docket and it changes the narrative somewhat.I only see two games where the Jets lost because of a late missed FG.
Regardless, that changes nothing here. Not sure why you brought it up.

For Rodgers, teams with a QB question are:The narrative wouldn't be any different unless they made the playoffs. That was the minimum expectation.
Even 4 more wins wouldn't have gotten them there.

I think LV and Pitt are probably the only clubs that would sign him. His ego won't allow him to play for under $1 mill per game/week. So, minimum is $17/18 mill. But, even that I don't see it happening as that would make him like what, like the lowest paid non rookie contract starter in the NFL? I don't think either club wants to pay that much in guaranteed money to him. Maybe, with bonuses he can hit mid $20's. But, again, it's his ego.I think if the Steelers don't do it nobody will sign him. Young teams don't want him around QB and for win now teams they're probably not getting a player better than like Geno anyway. Unless the same guys that traded for Deshaun will bite lol.
Raiders would have had to redo his contract, given his base was due to be $36 mill but not guaranteed. But, would have keep the cap charge lower, as they had to eat the remaining unallocated amount all in 2025 following the trade to NYJ.Raiders trading Adams only to get him back after signing Rodgers would be hilarious.
