People will point to his stats as an excuse but he was garbage. Painfully slow and that locker room needs a breath of fresh air. Mr R was throwing everyone left and right under the bus and his body language was absolutely terrible on the field

Just not worth it anymore

He was more physically gifted than Brady/Manning as a passer, but doesn't have the passion/drive to maintain that elite level and put in the work to do so like they did. If you are a team just looking to be more competitive, but not a contender, like the Raiders, I can see them bringing him in. But, don't expect him to change from what he's been the past 3-4 years. Don't expect him at all off-season workouts and the like.

The problem is I don’t think he’s good enough for great teams and doesn’t want to go to a bad team either, it’s going to be a tough offseason for him

How can he look great if he wont get the protection? He took so many rough looking sacks to end the game last season

Didn't their kicker lose them like 4 games by blowing field goals at the end of games?

I only see two games where the Jets lost because of a late missed FG.

Regardless, that changes nothing here. Not sure why you brought it up.

If the kicker doesn't misses those kicks, that's a couple more wins on the docket and it changes the narrative somewhat.

The narrative wouldn't be any different unless they made the playoffs. That was the minimum expectation.

Even 4 more wins wouldn't have gotten them there.

For Rodgers, teams with a QB question are:
LV, CLE, PIT, TEN, NYG, and maybe NO if they move off Carr.

This is correct.

In terms of physical gifts, Aaron Rodgers was pretty much as good as it gets. In his prime he was capable of making some throws and plays that few, if any, other QB's could or can make. But when he had to rise to the occasion in do-or-die games, there are quite a few times where he couldn't quite get it done, and he's gone totally off the rails in terms of off-the-field and leadership stuff in the past few years.

He's a very difficult guy to play with at this stage and he can't move anymore. Considering how good he used to be at using his feet to find throwing lanes (Roethlisberger was also good at this; not necessarily running for gains but manipulating space with your feet in order to find room to throw) this is a death sentence.

He's one of the best of all time and easily better than Brett Favre (anyone that says otherwise didn't watch Favre enough.) But he's definitely not in Brady's tier.

No one is paying him the $37 mill he was going to make in 2025 on the Jets contract. So, how much would it take for him to even consider playing football in 2025? $25 mill? $20 mill? I doubt it's a low number. I don't imagine he'd play for $1 mill per game ($17 or $18 mill for the season). So, more likely to see him retire at this point. His ego won't allow his salary to dip that low, where he'd be like the lowest paid starter of all of the non rookie contract QBs.
