I can't see your image. Is it a picture of your wife getting the entire bed and you sleeping on the couch while burping and farting all night? Asking cuz that's how my wife would want to be rewarded after feeding me a meal like that!

Nope, she'd never respect me if I did that!

I can see Helly staying in the top 5 for SV%. He is doing it looking very calm and cool with no wasted effort, and he should be able to keep it up as long as the Jets keep odd man rushes to a minimum as they have been.

Yeah he definitely has the talent to do it, I was just trying to be clear that I wasn't claiming he'd definitely win.

This is the first game I was able to watch in its entirety this month as I was travelling. It's good to watch hockey again:

CSL: There was a fire drill everytime the puck was in the Jets d-zone and this line was on the ice. They were lucky that they didn't concede mulitple goals tonight.

EWR: Very solid. Wheeler doing an admiral job in the middle and Ehlers really driving the bus.

CLP: Good all round game by these. Perreault had great energy. Lowry could be a comfortable 20 goal scorer if his hands were slightly softer.
Scheifele is very scary in our own end. Not too concerned with playing defense many a time.

You know who else is bad at playing defence? Other top centers in the league when they are matching up against Scheifele. Funny how that works elite players create multiple scoring chances even when matched up against other elite players.

this is why Mrs. Lackey gets the bed to herself, even and especially after an afternoon indulgence. She's basically a one-woman performance of that classic cartoon episode, "Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Sawmill"

Just finished watching the game -
Lot of fun watching our talent be talented.

Pionk is playing a very nice game right now - all the confidence in the world when he has the puck on this stick and he's effectively throwing the weight around - that part I didn't see coming.

Top 6 taking advantage of their opportunities - top 3 need a bit more work in their own end.

Forth line getting their minutes and holding their own out there - really good to see them playing a role and adding value.

Helle looks like he is in the zone - and I don't see him letting up.

I see us getting caught up a few times in our zone but I don't see a lot of quality chances - system appears to be working.

Coach gets some credit -he's got these guys firing on all 8 -

Laine definitely a work in progress. A contributor for sure which is most important but he had an egregious giveaway in our zone that thankfully did not end up in our net and I have no idea why he wouldn't shoot the puck in the slot all alone.

Wheeler deserves to get promoted :naughty:

Current mood:

Plus: did you know this was originally going to be the theme song to "Friends"? Unsure if the show would have been better or worse as a result; I only know that the more I see of Kate Pierson, aka the ageless ginger beauty from the B-52s, the better life turns out :) . She is right next to Ann-Margaret and Lynda Carter in my 'ageless and timeless crush' file.

You know what's funny? We can go 10-2-1 in a majority-road-game month with a high quality of opposition, but never once in a decade have we ever put together one of those ridiculous winning streaks that, it seems, every other team under the sun can do on occasion. Our franchise record is 6 in a row, twice, both during the Atlanta years. We can go 2-of-3 or 7-of-10 for prolonged stretches, but if the now-sad-sack-Jackets can do SIXTEEN IN A ROW not more than two years ago, surely we have a meteoric rise in our future?

Like, say, sixteen in a row starting around game 1 of the Cup playoffs? :naughty::thumbu:

Yup. It feels good when a prospect is able to take the next step and starts becoming an important piece of the team.

Yup - I have to admit, I wasn't sure he was going to break through - pleasant surprise.
He's another speedy, nifty, shooter that teams now have to contend with in our top 6.
