Another great road victory playing short again . 16-9-1 with this defense , unreal .
I can only conclude that this is evidence that the forwards have committed to making back-checking and supporting the breakout a priority.
That, and Hellebuyck's improved play. And not just having a few less goals against than he would have with a mere .915 or whatever, I mean his improved play with the puck against a dump in. I honestly can't remember the last time I shat a diamond watching Bucky with the puck as the opposing forechecker bore down on him. He really seems to have improved that part of his game geometrically #DocEmrick

No Duck player had to cross by the Jets bench as the little scrum was on the Ducks side. Maybe a Duck player came towards centre ice, as that seems to be about where Maurice is looking when he says it. Or maybe, he's saying it to one of his own guys in a "forget about it" way, but who knows

Before I saw the Leafs / Sabres score, I saw this headline on SB Nation.
I CANNOT EMPHASIZE enough how giddy I was with anticipation as I clicked on the out-of-town scores on the NHL website.
And when I got to the Leafs / Sabres score, well... you probably heard my cackles from across the city.
He deserved it. Sly little pass out of the zone.
Good game by the Jerts. For the first time in a long time they are shutting games down like they did in 17-18. Less drama and clenching but better results on the whole.

For a team that's defence just... died after last year. Giving zero goals to the opponent, It cant be that bad? What better we would do... negative one? That would be a first one.
Glad I'm glad. Glad I'm not going to be hungover when I wake up. Though, if I don't take it easy, it's my birthday so in the evening (2am right now). If I don't give a s...t, my Sunday morning might be a bit ouch. Yes, I'm milking my birthday all the way! I'm in a comfortable place when I really don't feel young but neither old. That's not gonna last forever so I'll keep my approach. To the battle and winning more games. Go Jets Go!

The Ducks tried to be goons this afternoon, but it didn't work. I thought the refs were initially against the Jets, especially after the nonsense Luoto penalty. But three straight penalties against Anaheim convinced me otherwise. On to L.A. to overthrow the Kings tomorrow night!
