Walton with 1g 1a and 4 SOG in the 1st tonight. He's on a tear in offensive production...
Went to school with Dale.I just hope they don't trade barlow,I agree his game is lagging, but he put alot of pressure on himself wanting a trade and now he is adjusting to some really creative players of which none had a traing camp together, but when barlow bumps you from the Puck your moved,I have seen him knock down alot of saucer passes because his eye stick coordination, his in tight to goalie game is a gift,if there's a scrum he's first in to help and he has some god strength, his passing is underrated in the sense it doest get pick off on a regular bases.but he needs alot of work, but if I'm late in a game trailing I want barlow as my extra attacker his one timer is that good and will only get better.but like I said he may be lain Duncan.ps:I thought dale derkatch would have good nhl career, so my scouting ability is seriously lacking

No I just watch him on the TV ohl package,I think every team needs a trigger man,his skating isn't as bad as the guy we traded to Pittsburgh, in fact he has some zip,but watching Walton this morning against barrie just shows why walton might be there best prospect, his long stride and speed is hard for the opposition to Guage because he's fast, his change of direction and stop and starts are better then antropov, hopefully he puts beef on to match his quickness.Nice to hear anything positive on Barlow. Do you get to see Barlow’s games in Oshawa or have you watched him on tv? I have been concerned about is development to date. I thought he was a decent draft pick but he seems to have regressed since we drafted him? Not sure if he has been battling injuries but I have mostly just scoreboard watching. It’s pretty humbling watching some kids hit and some kids miss that are drafted.
Derkatch was phenomenal in Regina.
Ryan Stewart?I have been trying to remember an old jets prospect who was given a call after taking a job pumping gas,i remember the big story in the tribune about it,i think he played junior in prince Albert and was fearless but not that big.im thinking stewart last or first name.
Wow didn't realize he was drafted that high,I can still remember that picture in tribune and the pumping gas story.now I have to Google him.maybe the story was about after he didn't make it in hockey lol.it shows you how hard it is to evaluate young talent.i remember living down south and we would sneak into the clubs games, and then watch from the metal walkway atop the arena, it wasnt used during the whl games, after getting coght someone gave me a pass for 20 games I believe that you would get punched every time you used it,it was crazy watching paul Baxter fight the whole cougars or bruins teams.back then I thought guy lash was going to be an nhl star,he wasn't.brian cadle and saleski were tough and good.but just didn't understand why lash wasn't an nhl star, since then I have been wrong 90% of the time except for mcdavid and mckinon I got that right.and was wrong about Jimmy Mann and bam bam ashtonRyan Stewart?
drafted 18th overall; played 3 games.
He looks fast, but it is so deceptive because you can almost feel the opposition trying to get a proper read on him also having to factor in his size,so he probably looks faster than he is but he is definitely not slow or lumbering,he also doesn't look awkward or unstable on his skates.never watched him last year so not sure how much his skating progressed, but last game saw him stop and cut back behind the net which was fairly tight, but it was his quickness from stop to start that is caughtmy eye.hes got to put some pete mahovlich beef on and he could be a thing.but man when you watch these junior games it is so hard to grasp because alot of younger smaller players.was watching the bear vs Schmitt game and the Finn on everest pulled by the d and looked like secretariat, but one of the d was 16.but not sure why cameron Schmitt is 15 places higher than bear because I don't have cameron Schmitt well below him, hopfully he falls to the Jets.Great to see Walton taking off -- for those who are watching him, how's his skating and in-tight mobility? I was impressed by his quickness and hands in early viewings but hadn't really seen him skate over the course of a game.
He's got the smarts to be in the NHL this season imo, he was always in the right areas of the ice and coming up with pucks in pre-season.Brayden Yager… just a slight drop off in point production in the WHL this season.
do we expect him to play some games at the professional level (AHL/NHL) after his season is over? and then possibly a full time NHL’er next season? is he ready for that?
Yager is leading his team despite playing a few games less than most players and is overall a good player.Brayden Yager… just a slight drop off in point production in the WHL this season.

Probably see him in the AHL late in the season unless his WHL team makes a deep run in the playoffs. I suspect he will be traded in the new year to a good team. Moose are unlikely to make the playoffs this season.Brayden Yager… just a slight drop off in point production in the WHL this season.
