I know it’s super early, but Rutger McGroarty leading all his former teammates in points per game so far. Including Logan Cooley.

I'm glad he's producing, but I keep hoping for more. He's in his 21 YO season, and he turned 22 in October.
For comparison sake, Copp, Appleton and Foley (crazy that he hasn't played after that concussion) all turned pro after their 20 YO seasons.
Appleton and Foley were clearly the best players on their teams at that age, and led their teams in scoring too. Copp was 3rd in scoring on an absolutely stacked Michigan squad. Zach Hyman and Dylan Larkin scored more, but he outperformed the likes of Tyler Motte, Boo Nieces, Zach Werenski and JT Compher.
Nathan Smith is tracking closer to CJ Seuss.

Elias Salomonsson got 2 goals last night. Now is the time to hit big on a mid-round D prospect, if we were ever going to. I think we will have a new core emerging in about 3 years for forwards and really need a couple Trouba/Morrissey types to emerge on defense.

You might be thinking of Cederholm or Lundmark, Salomonsson is definitely more offense than defense. He is more of a defensive dman, but the fact that he's adding offense AND he's RD? Very promising. The SHL is not a league to be trifled with, they recently got flocked with Swedish KHLers and other imports, so talent is high there. Excellent that he can produce in that league as a dman at 18.
Look at U of Mich scoring. McG 5 pts in 3 games and he is 5th on that team.
I wouldn't mind coming 2nd in the draft lottery. Look at Fantilli. 7 pts in 3 games in NCAA and he only turned 18 a few days ago.
I suspect we may have a few firsts this year. I expect a few big trades to go down. The kid is going to be a really good one. The top of this 2023 draft is nuts.

Yeah, if we can retain Ehlers and Connor we can have a pretty good forward group in a few years. It's nice coming here and reading about the forward talent we have in the system. We should be able to build a real nice group around Perfetti in a fee years. What I also like is the diversity of it. You have a couple of trigger man in Rash and Lucious with some size. You have a gritty allaroubd bull dog in Mgoarty and some speedy play pushers in Lambert and Chibrikov. Through in a guy like Zhilkin who has speed and a decent all around game and there are some real nice pieces.

Bedard, Rashevsky, Chibrikov, Perfetti, Lambert, McGroarty, that’s a solid group to build around. And I still think Barron will develop into a good Swiss Army knife-type that we can plug in around our lineup. Our offence is kinda sketchy right now but help is on the way.
Anton Johannesson with 3 more points through 2 periods today. Up to 8 in his 4th game.
3rd tier men's.What is that league he is playing in? EP calls it hockeyettan. I don't know what that is, men, jr, 3rd tier?

Fun fact: before leaving for the US, I spent a couple of years working as a substitute teacher in Sweden, and on one of the assignments one of the students had the same name as the leading scorer for HC Dalen.Anton Johannesson with 3 more points through 2 periods today. Up to 8 in his 4th game.
