I was kind of expecting Wright to have a McTavish-esque tournament. Similar birthday (+1yr, 2003 vs 2004), supposedly higher tier of prospect in Wright, but he's just been a disaster defensively and isn't even putting up points to compensate.

I've always found him to be overrated myself. He's a good prospect but I see 2nd line center upside.

It's crazy how much he's missed. And not only on Bedard feeds, he should be leading the tournament in goals with the chances he's had.

I don't know how it would be measured, but I'd put money on Wright having a better career than Slafkovsky.

I think they've just been calling everything in the net a goal and just letting challenges deal with actually getting it right.
