He's got a clear mind when he (Stastny) says that everyone is cheating a little bit in their game; he's not saying that because of an emotional loss. He probably hasn't come to that conclusion after a short stretch of losses.

lol...ur repeating ur mantra

Look, if the Jets beat them when it matters in a few weeks this will be forgotten. But for gods sake, that was terrible. Wtf was that. They were the suckiest bunch of sucks I've seen in a while. That was Edmonton circa 2009 - 2015 levels of bad. Unacceptable.

Winter is Coming
Don't forget that if you want to bring in a new coach right now who currently lives out of province, he'd have to quarantine for at least 1 week.

Might as well wait until the off-season when more coaching candidates are available.

Bring up Vincent or give Lowry the reigns.

At this rate Vancouver gonna catch us... I actually see Toronto losing to Vancouver In round 1... We smoked by Oilers 4 straight.

People follow the leaders. I have been saying it for a while now your team leaders need to best exhibit the style of game and attention to detail that you want our of your group. When they deviate and cheat it just gives other players a license to do just that. Why should they adhere to the system when the teams best players get to flaunt it.

doesnt that fall upon the coach to correct that

Have I mentioned how much I love our mods?

We might not always agree with all our posters on our team board, but no one will come here to troll our fans. Screw that......report every single one of them and they will all be dealt with, with enthusiasm........Finger hovering over warning button. :)

Further on the leadership aspect, look at the team leaders on all the previous multi cup winning teams:

Crosby: Yeah he is a generational player, but he works his ass off in practice and plays a very responsible all around game where he pays attention to the details. He demands so much from himself that it forces everyone to follow his example.

Toews: Incredibly driven player who plays a very hard two-way game

Kopitar/Doughty: Players who play an incredibly hard and responsible two way game.

There is a pattern here that goes beyond talent, they all worked hard and on and off the ice and didn't take short cuts on their defensive responisiblities.

What do we have, a couple of one dimensional offensive players who don't feel the need to play defense half the time. I don't even know what happened to Mark as he used to be a player who worked his ass off all the time to try to improve his game and used to play like a franchise center should. Now they just seem to care about potting points.

Scheifele's transformation is just sad.

Unfortunately Maurice has more excuses for this loss. To be fair, No Ehlers or Lowsy.

His fault, though, for 'wanting to see how Benn looks against Edmonton', but then also sending Heinola down and not playing Stanley when both are better than Benn and Poolman, and Forbort needed a break, too - but he's a tiny step above Poolman at least.

I'm convinced Mo is unable to pattern-recognize - he is better at seeing the obvious, immediate stuff, and then talking hockey talk and image management. He has minimal strategic capability. People of his type may occasionally see a pattern they think is solid, and they'll run with that one pattern stubbornly and won't really be open to other suggestions.

I don't see him getting fired unless we're healthy in the playoffs and we lose in 4 or 5 games. He's too good at schmoozing the owner.

Wow. What a great insightful post. You’re right, he can’t see patterns.
I’ve wanted him gone even before our great season. Helle and the talent on this team has allowed him to keep his job.
