Yet still so many predict they’ll win in the prediction threads. Go figure.

Glad I didn’t waste any time on this game. This team is going nowhere until Maurice is shown the god damn door!
There are things you just don’t do....
You don’t drink ocean water... no matter how thirsty you are
You don’t grab your wife’s sisters ass...no matter how perfect it is
and you don’t bet against your team... no matter how much they suck

it just the way it is

I get a lot of Evander Kane vibes from Dubois. Big, physical, high motor, bit more playmaking, bit less of a shooting bias, but more than anything he is single minded in pushing the puck towards the net. That becomes frustrating when you know that every time he picks up a loose puck in the offensive zone he's going to funnel a blind pass to the front of the net rather than looking for an open man, and it will more often than not result in a loss of possession.

at least evander came to play every game and hit people

Isn't this as simple as a roughly even team that is missing its best offensive player and its best defensive player isn't going to be able to score with, or defend against, a team with McD and Drai? It also lays bare the fallacy that Scheifle/Wheeler/Conner can, in any way, "saw-off" against the best lines in the league, to use Maurice's term.

Unfortunately Maurice has more excuses for this loss. To be fair, No Ehlers or Lowsy.

His fault, though, for 'wanting to see how Benn looks against Edmonton', but then also sending Heinola down and not playing Stanley when both are better than Benn and Poolman, and Forbort needed a break, too - but he's a tiny step above Poolman at least.

I'm convinced Mo is unable to pattern-recognize - he is better at seeing the obvious, immediate stuff, and then talking hockey talk and image management. He has minimal strategic capability. People of his type may occasionally see a pattern they think is solid, and they'll run with that one pattern stubbornly and won't really be open to other suggestions.

I don't see him getting fired unless we're healthy in the playoffs and we lose in 4 or 5 games. He's too good at schmoozing the owner.

Why not fire them now?

No value in it now, this team isn’t winning anything in the playoffs......assuming they make the playoffs. Season is done, time to start planning for the draft and offseason moves. If I’m Chevy there is some big moves this summer starting with an entire new coaching staff. Then I start looking to see how I can change the look of our roster.....too many high skill floaters. Ehlers is the only untouchable......albeit Pionk & Helle aren’t far behind. Everyone else I would listen to offers on, I want full value but willing to listen.

I want to see a hard working, play pushing, in your face team......tired of this over passing soft perimeter team.

what exactly is murat saying???

The implication that he's not saying that from an overly emotional driven response. That it's a conclusion that Stastny has come to with a clear mind outside of the most recent stretch of losses.

Easier to say so after a stretch of awful losses, but I'd suspect that he's saying it's been a problem for a while.
