It's not the end of the world, the Isles are a good team and they deserved the game. This is/was a tough road trip. After Montreal, the wins need to pile up - the remaining games are almost all winnable. It would have been nice to get some points on this trip to make the home stretch a little less intense but it is what it is.

Playoff races are exactly that, ten days from now the Jets will be right in the middle of a three way battle (probably trailing at least one of Wash/Car, maybe both) and they will either step up and earn a spot or fall out of it, either way, they will end up exactly where they deserve to be.

This is twice we have heard Chevy say he would like to address RW , with Scheifele looming at a C spot next year , we should anticipate the big push will be for RW.

I doubt anything major happens tomorrow, but I do think something big long that line happens this summer. We will not go into next year with the second line makeup we have now imo.

What if... instead of having that amazing previous road trip, we lost a lot on that road trip. And we just won these last 4 games in a row to put us where we stand right now.

We'd be feeling pretty good about this team in this placement in the standings, wouldn't we????

IDK, I'm reaching. It's gotta turn around. I think this is rock bottom, and it's gotta turn around now.

I guess what I'm saying is I think we all gotta forget about these 4 games, and look at where we are right now in the standings and tomorrow is a new day.

The Jets still have a tenuous hold on third place, so bring on the Habs, and let's see what they can accomplish now that everybody and their dogs have given up hope.

I still believe they can do this, and won't give up hope until they're mathematically eliminated.

And hopefully we see Mr. Trouba taking practice by Thursday or Friday. That will be a happy day.

I'm with you. Ain't over yet.

At least Team Canada women know how to battle. Down 0-2 against USA tied it up and now in OT.

You take the pass..... Unless it is Tavares.

Lidstrom always took the pass. You take the pass. End of story. That doesn't mean you leave the puck carrier alone. Both times he stabbed at the puck at the worst time possible.

I'm so disappointed I'm almost at a loss for words. I spent so much money to go see the team in D.C. hoping to see the Jets clinch a playoff berth and yet I'm sure now it will be to witness the ultimate collapse of this team in 2013.

I think the team needs a shake up, and I don't mean in an over reactionary way. This has been the same results from Atlanta and now 2 years in Winnipeg. No heart and work ethic when the going gets tough.

-Buff needs to go. Ya he's dynamic and exciting, but also fat and has no commitment to his physical well being. Not an example we need set on our team and he would bring a fortune back
-Antro and Wellwood can't be brought back. Leafs scrubs who are a cancer to winning.
-Burmi needs to go. I love him but he's not willing to do what's asked and can't score enough to justify his rogue style.

I guess I'm still hoping for something good to happen with this team but expecting different results after years and years of proof from the same players is ludicrous. Keep Kane, Little, Ladd, Bogo, etc, but dear god. Jettison some of this Atlanta trash please.

-Sad in Calgary.

Washingtons been on a great run lately.

And Ovies back in form it looks like. 8-2 for them is a high possibility.

Let's be realistic. The only teams Washington is beating are struggling, they aren't doing anything special. They have some tough games coming up (Habs x2, Sens x2, Bruins) and they aren't going to go much over .500, if at all.

Purge some Thrashers please.

Give Trouba, Scheifele, and possibly Lowry a look next season.

I think it's time to unload a lot of dead weight. We have a lot of spare parts that adds next to nothing. I think Trouba and Scheifele will be locks next season and I'm curious to see what Lowry can bring to camp.

I think this recent slide all but guarantees we will be quiet as a mouse on deadline day. Anybody expecting anything of substance is going to be sorely disappointed.

Moving Byfluglien to forward was a message from the coaching staff to upper management.

We can't win with this group.

Good observation! Jets don't even have a handful of guys who can put a puck on the net!

Fact is the Jets have lost 4 in a row and are still atop the division. The south east sucks. Real bad. We can easily win the division as we have games against wash and Carolina.
