This team needs a spark so badly. Folks play well out of the gate then start slipping away as if they were getting bored of being on the ice.

Ya, honestly I think it is a combo.... Guys want to win, just as bad, likely more then us fans. Just about 70% of them have not given it all and played for their playoff lives, they want to win... Just are not putting forth the effort it takes to do so. And also, we have been playing literally every other night for 2 months, our 5-6 top guys play 20-25 min a night up front, 25-30 on the back end. Little, Ladd, Wheeler, Kane, Bogo, Buf have been out of gas for 5-6 games IMO.

almost but not quite, haven't done the math, but if we beat Caps and Canes, and sweep season, we're in :help:

At this point it is out of their hands, winning every game doesn't guarantee it

So was Antro really pulled because of a injury or was he pulled due to trade??

Hopefully it was for a trade, hope Burmi part of that deal, if Burmi is in the NHL in 2 years I'll eat s*#*!

Kinda pissed that's the second 2-1 in two nights Enstrom played incorrectly. That's the most basic play you learn at a young age. You always take the pass.

Jets need to win 8 out of 10 to guarantee playoffs... uhhhhh am i right?

No. We don't need to be that good. Unless you think WSH or CAR is going to go on a 8-2 run.

I seriously hugely ridiculously doubt that Antropov would be pulled mid game for a trade. That just would not happen, IMO, could never see any possible way that would happen.

What really irks me is another game lost when we had the lead.

Even if we make it into the playoffs, we won't play like a playoff team.

Three pairs of underwear, two adult diapers and a XL squeegee isn't enough to contain the pile of crap served up the past 10 games or so.

They had their destiny in their hands... and this is what they did with it.

Montreal did it to Camalerri last year I think.

It's definitely possible that the Southeast Division winner would not have enough points to make the playoffs otherwise. Why it's actually like that right now, so technically no, they wouldn't play like a playoff team because they aren't one.

Heh, Burmi isn't really a deadline type of player to have traded though.
More of a summer trade for draft picks type of player at this point.

Im looking at it like we are 2 points back of the division right now. Caps ( I think ) are two back with 2 in hand so I have us in 2nd in the division in my mind. BUT we are in 3rd in the east still. You never know. all but 3 are at home and we still play washington/ carolina. This team NEEDS to get something going. I liked the Buff move to try and mix things up, but I think we need him on D for now atleast, until we see what Trouba can do IMO.

Moving Byfluglien to forward was a message from the coaching staff to upper management.

We can't win with this group.

I was wondering why he turned because 9/10 times he goes down sliding towards the shooter. You play the pass but there's a trick to being aggressive on a play like that. Catching a guy off guard is always a good way to go. Just misplayed it there a bit. Considering how many we've seen him stop, I don't think it's that big of a deal.
