Seeing some hope for Maurice-he has separated Wheeler and Scheif, and limited Wheelers’s minutes near the end. He has allowed for a new look on the PP as well.
I almost cannot believe what I am seeing!!! These changes are 2 years in the making but I’ll take it!

Just some thoughts:
- holy heck. Thank goodness we got that two points. Brossoit hasn't given me much confidence these past two seasons but he held the fort tonight. Especially that last save.
- forbort with a snipe I didn't expect. Go figure. He did fine but still some numb skull play reading.
- Lowry was a beast and was determined. He's doing much better this year than last.
- pionk is playing rollercoaster hockey. He's either making a good play or making a really risky one. I like how he's not afraid to try and make a hit despite his size.
- ehlers back to being good. Heard on the radio he didn't like his play last game, he certainly did better.
- scheif wanted one and did better this game. Step by step I guess.
- that's all, I'm just glad we got the two points. On to Thursday!

Lurch is killing it. I've never seen him play so well.

I've criticized his game a lot but Forbort played well all game.
LB was on his game. Really important for him to play well this year so Maurice has confidence in him.
Kudos to Maurice for not having Wheeler out defending the lead.
Lowry also played a good game as did Apples and MP.

Nice to have players in a contract year in a way.

KC is a beast in the O zone. The more I watch his game, the more I am reminded of Guy Lafleur. More moves than a pail of worms.

Hurry up PLD, we can use the D from the forward group.

As soon as there is any pressure or adversity we revert to standing around and playing not to lose. We didnt make 2 passes or breakout the puck in the second half of the game. Off the glass or flip play out and dump and chase.

We had such good puck movement and possession in the first. Mediocre in the second and non-existent on the third.

A wins win but as soon as we stop getting out of our own zone quick and clean, our D zone play is horrendous.

I noticed Copp, Lowry and Apples moving their feet tonight. 55 doing a whole lot of floating in all 3 zones. . .

LB with a big game shutting it down late.
