Winnipeg is going to be tough. Start Dobes and sit Pezz for RHP. Hoping for a game where both the Suzuki and Dach lines are going at the same time.

Jets are a good team. Realistically, this is going to be ugly.
But, we have beaten good teams lately. We need a huge bounce back win here.
And the one game we jumped to a big lead (3-0 vs. Toronto) turned into the most embarrassing game of the season. Somewhere, a lesson is crying to be learned...Tampa Bay played better than us, but we won.
Detroit dominated us.
Devils played better than us, but we managed to get a point.
It's 3 bad games in a row.
We need to score first. Lately, we have played a lot of trailing games.
I think we lose this one 5-1.
Just an itch man, Saturday I predicted 4-2 loss. Hope I’m wrong and you’re right.Lowry is on IR for the Jets. I think the Habs have a big advantage in the bottom two lines and also the 2nd line.
Not sure if we win or loose but the Habs will be in this game. Doubt it will be a 5-1 blowout.
Here's hoping the Jets party in Montreal the night before the game. Or maybe they just play video games late at night these days.

Is there a line when it comes to wins/losses percentages goals saved over etc. to be labeled a "proven starter"? Or do you just have to start games. Monty has been erratic and is currently being out performed by a rookie in the most important games we've had under this regime. There is nothing proven about him under these circumstances. New territory new measuring stick. Personally I think this is where Sam has to step up and prove he is a starter with consistent play.I'd also start Dobes. Here's the chance to see how he responds after a loss. The kid's got poise – it would be great to add to it.
That said, I doubt they will. It's Montembeault's turn and he's mostly earned it. Plus, he's our only proven starter. We need him if we have any chance at a playoff spot. No matter what we think of Dobes, we can't throw a full-time workload onto this kid's shoulders at this stage of his development.

I'd prefer we just play a good game from start to finish. Jets games have been a toss up this decade with each team having 1 more home win. We still have a few players who were part of that sweep and we always seem to compete well against them. We beat them twice last season and a win will earn us a split this year. Here's hoping the Jets party in Montreal the night before the game. Tell me we have a "gag order" in effect please.
Let's hope that Laine won't say that the Jets organization sucks, thus motivating them more.
How's this: Montembeault's proven he can sustain a solid 1B level of goaltending. He can give us 40 games a season without falling apart, unlike the long list of backups we used to have who were barely competent. He ain't Carey Price, but he's a lot better than Mike Condon. Is there a line when it comes to wins/losses percentages goals saved over etc. to be labeled a "proven starter"? Or he can wait for after the game once he scores his hat-trick during the post game interview in front of the live crowd.Let's hope that Laine won't say that the Jets organization sucks, thus motivating them more.
