There are many poor decisions made by many players over the course of a game. Yes, he probably should have passed it. He didn't. Oh well - the sun will rise tomorrow.
I'm absolutely happy to call the shoot decision a mistake. But to suggest it was an explicit act of greed? Can't get behind that. Doubly so because it's so easy for us to see everything from our HD crow's nest above the play but they're on the ice battling.
I'm 100% confident that if he saw Laine and was able to process mentally just how open he was, he passes it to Laine every time. 0% chance Ehlers is thinking "no f***in' way that hot dog's stealing my glory"

11o points who would of thought, no one on this board including myself, this team has put it all together and hopefully it will translate in the playoffs, win that 1st playoff game, then a series, then 2 and anything can happen.
