Helle 1.00 GAA this game.
If the stick to the face of Morrissey is called 1st goal doesn't happen.
Goalie interference on the 3rd goal but it's the Jets so no call. If that was a Leaf goalie the call would have been automatic and the NHL have scheduled the opposition to all be beheaded at center ice.

if the trade deadline were tomorrow, what do you trade for? Who realistically can you say should come out of the lineup for a rental.

the way Kupari is playing Gus never sees the ice again. What exactly is Stanley's injury?

Tampa on Thursday and we'll likely see that Vasectomy guy or whatever his name is.

That Valardi goal was unbelievable. A Top Ten play up to this point and regardless of what happens the rest of the season should still be somewhere in the Top 10 come the end of the season.

Our goal differential is more than the number of goals 5 teams(I believe) have scored all season.

6 or more goals in 8 of our games.
someone like Provorov would really strengthen that third pairing, but point taken, it’s hard to argue who comes out of the lineup. More depth is always good because the playoffs are a real meat grinder.

There was no goalie interference on the 3rd goal. At all.

Boring!

Missed the game as I spent my time looking for a hockey team here in Phoenix. Going to check Glendale, Scottsdale and Tempe tomorrow but I’m not optimistic. It is warm and sunny though so I get it.

If I drop my pants, will Matthews parents adopt me? They gotta be around here somewhere.

I had a feeling the Jets would come out firing under the bright lights of Broadway, to showcase themselves. Didn't disappoint.

Where to start?

Top line excellent. Moving the puck like guys who know how to play hockey. Scheif was good in all 3 zones. You could tell KC wanted to get him the hatty at the end, a little too much but he will be happy to get back on the board again.

2nd line got a big goal when the game was still within the Rangers reach. Perfetti didn't get on the scoreboard but showed some strength out there. Namestnikov winning top 6 matchups is hard to ignore. Ehlers was good for the most part. Some bad defensive zone turnovers from this line might want to be cleaned up.

Checking line was good, Nino made a lot of plays. -1 was a tough break. Tough night for Lurch on the draw.

4th line again having a spark. I wonder what the analytics say about Iafallo blocking shots in the d-zone that transitions to offense. Seems to happen a couple of times a game. Nice of him to get the reward at the end of the game. Deserved to be out there. Kupari was flying.

Defense had some moments each and every one of them had some struggles too at times. Perfect games are only in baseball. Helly made a statement in a marquee matchup bailing out the team when they broke down.

Pionk having a 3 point night, +2 (though to qualify it one of the +s came on a defensive change while Namestnikov and Ehlers were on a 2-1) , while Trouba had a goose egg, and -3, well I think Pionk had something to prove tonight. De Melo has been steady of late, and his play on the GWG was outstanding.

The Jets winning with style is fun to watch.

Jets have played in the North so far in their road trips, we'll see how a trip to Florida in mid November goes.

I thought the Jets made a statement tonight.

Missed most of it but caught the highlights -
And based on those highlights, the Jets are scoring some nice goals - this is no fluke.
What's now interesting is that all the teams coming up on the schedule, want to be the team that beats the Jets.
That's a nice feeling

Awesome game..
Two images of this season’s Jets emerge..
First how the league saw them at the preseason.. secondly, how the league sees Winnipeg now..

Somewhere nice
In the main board there is a talk about Hellybuyck needs to prove himself and that he is a playoff chokers

Some personal opinions i have on helly playoff performances:

1) The series between the preds Helly was a big part of that win. Probably one of the best series in recent memories.
2) The CF after - the JETS vs Knights. That one might have gassed out the team. Also Vegas team was ahead of every Jets moves. Then Fleury had to play one of his best series. That Scheifele shot and save by Fleury might have been the series defining moment. I understand it was 4-1 Vegas. But how Jets can play like that in Game 1 then can’t generate anything the next 4 games is a head scratcher for me. Maybe fleury?

3) Other series key injuries to important players of the team. It happens. Stanley Cup is as much as being good, peaking at the right time and avoiding key injuries.

4) Avalance last year. Yeah Helly crapped on that one and the whole team was not able to keep up with the Avalance.

But Helly looks like on a mission and probably pissed at himself , same as the whole team - how they went out last year…

I believe this is a much different team now not in terms of skills but maturity and going to that failure ( to be successfull ).
It will help also the coaches to be able to adjust quickly not wait 4 games ( see Vegas CF series before making adjustments ). So Far coach Arniel teams by the looks of it have been doing fine: We see in the playoff.

But i think this will be one of the most successfull Jets team by the end of the year. Hoping it will be a cup.

But it will be hard, the team play and talent are there ( spread out talent ). We see if they will want it more, doing the things on the ice that we see champion does. The little things. We are seeing it now on consistant basis but again as all are saying this is the regular season.
I saw few times against the Avs series that they didn’t want it more.

GO JETS Go!!!!
