11 total points from the top line this afternoon. Scheifele, 3G, 1A, Connor 2, 2A and Vilardi with 3A, plus 2A from Morrissey. That's a tidy piece of work for one afternoon.

For those that have to deal with Leafs fan's this holiday season...

Good point. I feel I have been too much of a realist and still disappointed by the past 2 playoff performances. A great regular season is not much consolation when the team gets thumped in the playoffs.
I’m not negative nor do I hate the team.
They are having another great regular season, until they make noise in the playoffs it’s not wrong to say I’m reserved in my opinion of what defines success.
I didn’t see this pace coming

Yup it's all about the playoffs with this team the regular season they are having is phenomenal but for this team the real season starts with the playoffs and what they can accomplish.

A truly fantastic win against one of the biggest prick franchises and fanbases in the league. Merry Christmas to everyone here, to your families. Good health and cheer for everyone. I'm gonna have some delicious Tikki Masala for dinner and bask in the glory that is beating the piece of shit Maple Leafs.

Even as a tier 2 fan.
Based on the upbeat nature of this post, next time the Positivity Council™️ meets, I will recommend that you're upgraded to "Tier 1.9-D" :sarcasm:

Hope you and your family have an awesome Christmas

Watched most of the first two periods between some socializing. Caught the rest on the radio braving the gong show in town, grabbing some last minute refreshments for our big dinner tomorrow.

Helle made some clutch saves to keep the Leafs wanting. Start chanting MVP for that man. Thought we might receive a KC trick this afternoon but Mad Dog stuffed it up the Spuds stocking. There's a few things that are better than beating the Leafs, but I'll leave what they might be up to your imagination. Enjoy this team folks, we really are spoiled right now.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all, don't stop smiling. Oh and much love @macmaroon you're always putting in a shift around here and your work and presence are appreciated, my man.

Agreed it will ultimately come down to the playoffs, but game in and game out this regular season this one hell of a fun team to follow. They are playing a real fun brand of hockey to watch.

> Started Christmas holidays today.
> went to watch the game and found my sofa and end-table filled to the brim with every creature comfort imaginable.
> Watch the entire Toronto Sports Network panel agree that Winnipeg should go farther than Toronto this year.
> Finish off a Jets clown-pounding of Toronto, 5-2
> Laugh at a bot account on formerly-known-as-Twitter who tried to mock me for being a Jets fan because they thought I meant the NFL one.
> Got a nice light buzz on while I listen to some post-game jams.

What a beautiful way to go into the break.

At some point, we're going to have to admit this team is a plurality favourite to win the cup.

Maybe another month at first overall and top quartile on the sports book tote boards will convince the world?
Really happy with the recent play, but I don’t think anyone can consider us a favorite, when we cannot beat Vegas.

...................and for the players to, you have to think they are having the time of their lives going to the rink day in day out.

Two really well played games in a row.
That assist from Vilardi was a thing of beauty.

Pionk and Morrissey were fantastic tonight.

Everybody did their part and it led to a nice win.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
The bolded is why I kind of wish this Christmas break wasn’t happening. We just have to hope the Jets pick up where they left off without skipping a beat.
That said, it *is* the Christmas break, so I wish my fellow HFJets good health, good cheer and good times for Xmas 2024.

Very well said. I think there is a split among the fans. Those of us who are waiting for playoffs and those who are enjoying the regular season success. I think

AnonoJet hit the nail on the head. They need to beat Vegas to prove this is not a mirage!

No Jet fans saw this coming but what is funny a few media heads did said the Jets still have a good team because they only lost Dillion from last year and they did win over 50 games. Bruce Boudreau said it best ... Jets had a great team last year they just had one bad week.
Did you hear Bones on Saturday ... he said if the Jets had this good of a PP last year they would have won the President's Trophy.
