I guess we can call KFC a complete player now, he made some nice plays in the Jets zone, also I think he picked up some speed by cutting his flow
Both KC and Scheif have bought into the defensive part of the game. Both are mostly on the right side of the puck and a lot of their offense is coming off of good defensive play. Man I hope we are playing like this come mid April.

Teams like this don't happen often, you should let yourself be way more positive about the Jets this season. They really can't do much better so far than they have.

Shit i forgot. I feel even better now.
Good point. I feel I have been too much of a realist and still disappointed by the past 2 playoff performances. A great regular season is not much consolation when the team gets thumped in the playoffs.

I thought we played exceptional in the 1st and 3rd period. Also had some good spells in the 2nd, even though they put some pressure on the Jets after their first goal.

Nonetheless we looked very organized, calm and confident. Our first line produced some magic. The game was such a beauty to watch.

merry christmas everybody :D

Just went back and watched the replays for today. A lot of really nice plays, that came out of hard work and skill.

As much as I love Bones as a human being, and I still kind of light up when I see his face pop up on the panel, I really don't think we can understate how much the infusion of new blood behind the bench (special teams coaches too) has helped. Rot in hell, Lauer-play. Long live best-in-the-league power play!

Yup wish Helle wasn't going either but he deserves the chance to represent his country and also in a way the Jets.

It can be easy at times to forget these are still human beings with a human's ambitions and desires, which include ideas like fame and pride and passion for the game as an end unto itself. And while they still have a job to do, a job for which they are compensated extremely well I might add, compensating them in these more human-facing ways will pay dividends.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

And by "TED" I mean "Ted", by which I mean "just about to go get plastered with Sam J. Jones and a talking teddy bear"

Looks like Heinola will get an extended look.

About f***ing time the kid got a break. Just imagine when the fruits of the Trouba trade are now a fully-actualized Heinola AND Pionk. For a man who is now on Anaheim, needing to pretend that he's less of a leader than a certifiably unhinged Radko Gudas, lol.

Great game! Fun to watch. Think I'll go and buy tickets to a Jets game!

Tremendous game by the 1st line. Just tremendous. 5 goals. Sheeeit! Morrissey was something special all day. That was the kind of dominant 2 way play that should win the Norris. Not just a scoring contest. Heinola played well - including on the PK. Everybody else played well too. Really.

Gus lacks Kupari's speed but he is a perfectly good 4C. I don't mean perfect. Just perfectly good.

No shame in eating crow after the Jets exceed expectations. A bit like me and pepper spray -- you get rejected enough with it and you kind of appreciate the taste.

Play teams even at 5-on-5 chances. And not only do we have the goaltending ace in the sleeve, but this year our special teams are actually extremely good. It's so nice to be able to see a game plan that can work for any game.
Couldn’t agree more.
