No, he's not too bad - him and Miller were the only plus dmen tonight, 3 blocked shots, not bad (or maybe even good).hird pair looks pretty good too. Better with Fleury, but Stan is not too bad either.
He's had top defensive analytics for a couple years and now he's being less sheltered and that gives him a chance to play with and read off of more offensively creative players more often and he hasn't looked out of place doing it, which is very encouraging. I see him as a Slavin type more than Dillon, smart and responsible enough defensively to play a ton of minutes and his offensive numbers bump up as a result.Honestly Snerg has turned into a younger version of Dilly very quickly. We've got our 2LD as long as he's on the roster, I love what he brings.
LOL - did you do that on purpose? (see post 127)Stanley didn't look too bad out there either.
No I posted just after you. I agree with you assessment thoughLOL - did you do that on purpose?
Awesome timing - I had to LOLNo I posted just after you. I agree with you assessment though

I've come to the conclusion that this is the best the feedback will get for this player - not too bad.
Worse case is if leafs snap the streak. No one will report in any meaningful way on the Jets being 6-0 to start the season.
arent the leafs a thorn in our side? when was the last time we won a game vs them?Worse case is if leafs snap the streak.
He's never really looked good with Connor and Scheif, seemed like he really enjoyed playing with Ehlers and they were really effective together.Announcement - Villardi has officially entered Sip's doghouse. Could get a bit ugly.
I hope the Leafs are not the team to break the Jets streak but with Vezina Stolarz in net it is inevitableSome fool guest on Real Kyper and Bourne today basically awarded Stolarz the Vezina trophy, had him as #1 and Hellebuyck #4 in the league. Helle may as well hand it over to him next Monday.
I know. This is really odd.Ummmm, what is happening???
I am happy they kept Miller over Schiddy Scmitty and Dare I say over Dillon. He just fits in nicely.I get it many don't like Stanley but he played pretty well tonight, he is not as bad as some think, sure he will have his moments but he pairing with Miller is working out. Fleury did well with Miller too. To summarize Miller is the D whisperer.
He is also a much better skater. Considering age Samberg likely surpasses Dillon by a fair bit as the #2 LHD. Of course Chevy will need to pay for that after this season. I think people should expect something in the $5.5 - 6 M range on a long term deal.
