He skated with the team today.

He has a long road ahead. Very few players have come back from the type of procedure he had. Patrick Kane is the only one to make it back. Same surgeon did both players.
Also Kane still possesses world class vision, playmaking, and shot abilities. This guy never possessed any of those skills, ever, at an elite NHL level. He did some shit under-20, but not at this level. At least not for any length of time.

I'll take the 6'4 Bison King over Nieto in our bottom six any day.

Yes, he didn't reach his potential, but he was still a useful player when healthy and he's still only 25.

In other words, he's the same age as Drew O'Connor and only Puustinen, POJ and Ludvig would be younger than him on the current roster.

This team is so bereft of prospects that it is worth the shot. And yes, I would agree he is beyond the prospect stage of his career.

I feel like he mostly screened goals because he really had no idea where to be and was mostly just in the way.

If Fartjuiceparty was a LW I'd be curious about this more, but I really don't give a shit as we have a RW that deserves 100% more of a shot than Jesse does.

In 17 games he had 2pts while getting a lot of chances in Carolina. Meanwhile Puustinen is getting f***ed over and has produced better than Jesse's stint in a new scenario. Throwing him on the top line unearned is dumb, 0pts in 2 games so far, lol.

I mean you'd think they ease him in with a few shifts on the 3rd line, then to the 2nd line for the rest of the game and assess after that and go with a different approach for the 2nd game and moving forward. But nah...

It looked an awful lot like when the opposing team tried to give me a pity goal at hockey bockey (Swedish shinny with a bandy ball) but I fanned on the ball..
Hockey bocky shinny! Hockey bockey shinny! Hockey bockey shinny with a bandy ball!
