Jersey Ads

On top of how bad the ads are, they're selling them on the awfully made Fanatics jerseys.

I'm not an extensive collector by any stretch of the imagination but I will go out of my way to avoid any jersey with an ad patch and any jersey made by Fanatics.

Thankfully, my favourite designs are all already pre-2021 manufacture even though it means I have to buy them from private resale instead of easily accessible retail locations.

I imagine/hope other diehard fans will do the same - it does cost more money, but takes it away from Fanatics and the NHL for agreeing with this shit.

Patch looks okay in itself.

The placement is horrible though.

Ya I find most ad patches are subtle. What I hate is the league is prioritizing ad patch placements over traditional patches (captaincy, anniversary, and even the SCF patches), and placing those traditional patches in obscure/crowded areas of the jersey.

Could they not at least keep the 3rd/special event jerseys ad free?

And also jerseys with one-game only commemorative patches should not have ads, geeze, it's one game, but them on the pants if you absolutely have to.

The placement of the hall of fame game patches were stupid this season.

Maybe on ice this one will be a little bit more discrete, the giant blue RBC patch on the current Habs jersey makes me want to spoon my eyeballs out.

We will have ads on pants within 3 years. And a second jersey ad within 5. Mark my words.
