When does the waive wire end? Halpern was waved in the morning, no?
Or does it go past 24 hours and ends at noon?

If the Rangers bring Fast over and play him that's even more speed. Should definitely think about tweaking the system a bit
Larry Brooks reported the Fasth story today. Lindberg's team advanced to the SEL semis. http://m.nypost.com/p/sports/rangers/fast_company_ue37x9YqBSkCCE3hRPiMFN
I'm never the guy to say this... but I believe SOMETHING is going to happen... maybe a call up, maybe a trade -who know's?
This doesn't make sense bc the Rangers have zero center depth. Miller CAN play center. Powe CAN play center.... but has Tortorella used either in that role lately? Nope... Halpern wasn't a difference maker by any stretch, but PK, face-offs... he was good at that, and I was under the impression that's why he was brought here... Something doesn't jive...
it does seem that way. I mean Fast is already part of the 49 contracts signed so he could have just came in and played in CT or Kreider/Miller have options to go down.
it has to be to clear a contract. They know Halpern has value and someone will take him..........im going to be pretty surprised if hes not gone to another team at noon today
Funny how Orr is playing every game for the Leafs who r a better team than ours...
Lundqvist is the only star player that's stayed here. Jagr, Nylander, Straka, Gomez, Drury, Roszival, Redden all high paid guys that left. Richards, Gaborik next and probably Nash in 2-4 yrs. This team is pretty much reminiscent to the Hasek Sabres era where the team around him was pretty mediocre, but Hasek kept the team relevant with a few years as outliers. Hasek didn't win with Buffalo.
Lundqvist will always be #1 here, only one to beat him was Jagr in his rookie year in terms of importance to team.
No thanks. I will continue to support this team, even if they miraculously give up the #1 pick to Columbus or say Lundqvist in a trade.
I think Lundqvist is the best goalie for NY in the last 50 years. That said, he is nowhere near the player Hasek was.
And you still want the only guy that can score 40+ goals traded, on this non scoring team .........
Lol
It is the coach, it is the system!!!!!
Put fu......... Torts on waivers
God I hope so............![]()
i think so......
did you? lol
Ranger fan since the Walt Podubny days.....![]()
He doesn't deserve to get sent down.
Torts System is the MAIN PROBLEM with this team......no doubt
Gaborik though is another big one......this guy needs to be gone as well. He's no longer a "40 goal scorer" imo.
If you've been a Ranger fan that long, then you should realize how impossibly difficult it is to obtain a 40+ goal scorer.

IMO, balanced scoring is more important than having one guy who can score a lot. That's not to say I don't want someone who can score 40, but as a 40 goal scorer, Gaborik leaves a lot to be desired. I'd rather have 30 goals from someone who is more consistent and adds in other ways when he isn't scoring. Of course, finding that guy is just as hard.
With the waiving of Halpern, something must be up. Maybe it's just making room on the roster for Fasth, I don't know. Sather always has something up his sleeve.
Miller ran into Hank and left practice. Pyatt changed into a grey jersey to replace him so it doesn't look like he is coming back.
Now if Halpern gets claimed, they are down 2 forwards.
