Does anyone recall if he said anything about Allaire?
I tried to think of something absurd that had a better chance of happening. There is nothing absurd enough.
- then letting Allaire go I mean -

No mention of what kind of rebuild this is going to be.
I want toughness and grit too. Not in the place of talent, but it should definatley be an element on this team moving forward.
If there is a team that JG should look to mold the next generation of Rangers after, I'd rather be more like Winnipeg/Nashville than Toronto/NJ.
Your guys are fast? Great, our guys are fast, big and some of them play very angry.
He was comparing Gorton to the Hurricanes' owner? LOL. Anyway, I don't have a problem with wanting more toughness, or the team being tougher to play against. Like Go Away Staal said, as long as it's not in place of talent, but as an added element that other teams have to be wary of. I think Herman and people like him who at the sight of the word go insane are comical. Of course we don't want more Glass and Mcleod types, but I would assume that Gorton wasn't speaking to that.RE Gorton saying he wants toughness and grit: Pretty confident he doesn't mean McLeod/Glass/Beleskey/etc. and he means more like Andersson/Lindgren/etc. Again, goes into the "character" aspect he's looking for in players along with skill and speed. Also means more about the complacency on the team like when Cody Eakin nailed Lundqvist behind the net.
LMAO Adam Herman got instantly ******** about that quote at face value and was comparing Gorton to Dundon and Bergevin.
Kopitar 11thRemember.
Mike Bossy was picked 15th.
As was Erik Karlson
What doesnt Herman get upset about?RE Gorton saying he wants toughness and grit: Pretty confident he doesn't mean McLeod/Glass/Beleskey/etc. and he means more like Andersson/Lindgren/etc. Again, goes into the "character" aspect he's looking for in players along with skill and speed. But trading up always gets you the more elite playerKopitar 11th
Barzal 16th
Scheifele 7th
McAvoy 14th
Giroux 22nd
And the list goes on.
If Tkachuk is there at 8 he’d be a very nice pick.Does Gorts have delusions of Tchuck?
If he took him at 8 I wouldn't be against it, moving up ... NO WAY!Does Gorts have delusions of Tchuck?
I bet the guys in here ****ting on Gorton were oohing and ahhing when Bergevin traded for Shaw and Weber.
For those acting like Gorton is some heathen, take a look at a guy like Bergevin. You don’t know how good we have it right now.
He is looking for both. I think the character part has to do with a players work ethic, he mentioned how he was disappointed with players effort.Seems like a lot of people keep focusing on the character part, but every time it's brought up it's always with skill and speed

Moving up for him would be a red flag.

Tkachuk isn’t my first choice but if they choose him at 8, so be it.My preference is an RHD with 1st pairing upside. If Tkachuk and Dobson are there, I’d prefer Dobson.
Bouchard or Dobson hell even Wilde who’s rising fast would all be great choices
