Just was reading someone else's post and it really made me think about something I've ignored repeatedly.
Why did we burn a year or two off all these ELCs when it's obvious none of these teenagers were really ready and the team was going to be bad? Besides laf who HAD to come here we could be looking at another 1 or two ELC years on kakko, kravt, chytil. Lias never should have been brought over before last season or more likely this season. VK should've been left alone until next year.
Bad organizations rush prospects onto bad teams and waste ELCs. I always assumed we just knew better bc our FO determined these guys would all be special. It didn't work for literally any of the guys we brought in early.
We all wanted kakko here but doesn't a pro organization assess "Hey, the kid needs to grow into his body or we'll:
1 just waste years of his elc for no reason bc he can't play his game yet
2 do it on bad teams he performs poorly on.
3 do it with a ? at head coach.
The lack of long term thinking in this organization is stunning. Did the same with lias, chytil and kravtsov. None of them were ready when we brought them over. The FO literally failed to evaluate their readiness in every single instance.
