Miller is too stupid with the puck on his stick .Way too unreliable and has bad turnovers way too much.He also sucks defensively and gets lost in coverage far too easy.He has the hockey sense of a peanut

I would rather have Miller and Fox playing together than what it'll go back to once Lindgren gets back. I'm not sure what your metric is for 'stupid with the puck', but I saw a shitload of turnovers from the entire defensive core when it came to clearing the puck that could've been goals. Miller had a turnover that DID result in a goal trying to make a play, but I'm not hearing a peep about Trouba/schneider's goal against when Schneider got lost in no man's land and Trouba literally watched a breakaway happen in his own zone. Hell, there are Miller haters in this thread saying Trouba had a great game. I thought no one on the D core had a particularly great game because of all the damn turnovers.

Also, that was an incredible play by Kerfoot. Super impressive.

My bad. When that happened, I thought I yelled "Trouba sucks" loud enough at my TV for the whole city to hear it.

I’m at the point where I question if Mika actually cares or did he get paid and stopped GAF
Think his priority is to not get hurt. He plays excellent defense but with the puck he’s a target so he stays extreme perimeter. He’s an elite 3C. Been saying it forever.

Yeah, if there's something I'm concerned about, it's this.

We've had two solid games but there's a whole line out there that I don't feel great about scoring, and he's had bad defensive breakdowns.

He's with Smith who's always been good 5v5, and Kreider who's always been great 5v5. Both Smith and Kreider have been generating chances. If Zibanejad can't play with them, he can't play with anybody.
Not trying to defend Zibanejad but it seems there’s going to be less pressure on him early in the season for the fact that since last season his line is no longer 1st line on the team and if Chytil’s health holds up - there’s going to be “protection” there as well. So if we adjust our expectations to him being 2C on this team - it will be a lot easier to justify and accept his performance if his salary is not part of the discussion.

Otherwise, two games into the season is not a time to assign any labels on performances this far or deduct what it will be in the spring.

I actually think the team itself looks faster. Looks like they made it a focal point, finally, to play faster as a team.
IMO it’s more of a confidence thing (including knowing they’re healthy) as they’re clearly thinking of themselves as true contenders who can dominate and never out of the game regardless the score.
