I'm getting a kick out of the responses in this forum. I'll watch the conference after I finish up with my log splitter. The insider's were only partially correct because Holland is still kicking around.

Gazzola mentioned on the oiler stream that they have removed Holland as the Gm over the summer months since this was his last year of the deal.
All the trades and signings were signed off by Paul coffey.
JFC….this is really bad if true. Complete garbage organization.

Kenny says he doesn't think the team checked out on Woody. And thinks there will be players in that dressing room that will be disappointed with the decision. BUT says he's paid to make decisions, difficult decisions, so he made one. OH OKAY, glad to know you made the decision not based on the team checking out or Woody's track record of success or what the players want, but because you are paid to make decisions so you made one.

You guys have gotten too used to the performative arrogance of Woody.

All that matters is how the team responds and what he does with the job, not the sideshow stuff like media conferences and availabilities.
Thats fair. Like Woody's scripted f-bomb. Might be getting used to boring but honest post-games again.

So if it is really just OEG trying hard to keep McDavid happy and its not McDavid calling shots....One would think that that would push McDavid to want to leave because right now everyone is shitting on McDavid for these changes.
You're giving the org too much credit for thinking they think about antecedent results.

jk aside all will be well if the team responds favorably. If not I don't want to think about.

He's defending Woody because that's his coach and because he didn't want to fire him.

NO CONSULTATION WITH LEADERSHIP GROUP REGARDING THIS DECISION AS PER JACKSON.

f*** RIGHT OFF YOU MORONS.

Part of me wonders if Holland had his eye on this guy way back when Tippett was canned. I remember him hiring Woodcroft, but it did seem like he did it out of lack of choice.
