Vaya con dios!

On top of that goal above, my second favorite Jarret Stoll moment was his celebration of A-Mart's goal against Chicago in Game 7

Definitely my favorite goal in Kings history... Just something SO satisfying about that goal and knocking out the Nucks.

He was definitely one of my top 5 favorite players I always like role players more a sad year indeed I'll still be rooting for him for what ever team signs him :yo:

I have never been more excited over a hockey game than I was with that goal in Vancouver.

Thanks for helping develop the team and bringing two cups. Keep your nose clean... erm yeah

Yup, along with Greene et. al., Stoll was one of the guys who really helped pave the way and develop team culture. DL was huge on him. I'm impressed his body held up as long as it did after all his injuries and such. He'll play somewhere, but it's clear his best hockey is behind him. For all the offensive zone penalties and (previous) defensive zone prowess, he seemed to always contribute at big times with a point or a hit or at least a clutch celebration. For all the Dustin Brown hate around the league, the Sharks hate Jarret Stoll more than any other team does! He will be missed, office issues nonwithstanding.

Unpopular opinion--there would be worse things than having Stoll as a 13th forward for cheap. AT this point I think he would be happy to hang out with everyone and be the equipment boy

Such a monster in the faceoff in 2012 the league made a new rule. Truly appreciate what he's done for the team and well deserving of those rings.

I've said it before but in my eyes it was Stoll who led the way in the comeback against the Sharks, he was the first guy out there to take back the initiative after the first two lifeless games. Games 3 and 4 were some of the best I've ever seen from Stoll, just a human wrecking ball and really doing everything within his power to get the team going.

Stoll has been a playoff stud for the Kings, I won't forget that.

I think the behind the scenes dynamics will decide if this is possible or not. If all the other players reportedly at the party were also indulging and Stoll was the supplier, no way at all he comes back even if he paid to play.

Thanks though Stoll, you had some good moments here, you were a King for a long time, you helped to two cups and you helped inspire one of the greatest -and most gross- nicknames on HF; Stool.

Take care and here's hoping you can revive your career.

I will never forget his goal eliminate the casucks, and am forever grateful it was him holding and not a more prominent member of the team.

Will always remember his goal that knocked the almight Canucks out of the playoffs. He was a true warrior, but his time here was done. I wish him luck in the future.

The Vancouver goal, but also that 5-3 PK against the Devils in Game 3 when it was still 0-0.

7 years as a King. He's been around as long as Doughty.

That one year, where he could not miss in the shootout, despite shooting in the same corner every time.

Might as well start a Voynov one too if we are going to jump the gun but I'll bite regardless.

Playoff stud. Dirtiest player on the Kings by far but only SJ and ANA fans realize this. Master of the hit from behind but I'll hold you up against the glass to make it not look so bad. Bernier doesn't board Scuderi if not for Stoll getting away with a boarding penalty 5 second prior right at the benches. Will always have Game 5 against Vancouver in 2012.

Concur with him being huge in the SJ comeback. Was the grittiest of grits inthat series and laid the body wherever and whenever he could. Knocking Vlasic out of the series was a huge turning point. I told my friends at Game 6 of the SJ series that if they wound up winning the Cup, I'd get a Stoll jersey. I now own both a Richards and Stoll jersey as I'm apparently starting a jersey collection of grossly underperforming centers.

In the end, he was a key part of the Cup teams and was a ton of fun to use as a whipping boy for his penchant to take stupid minor penalties. I'll always remember him fondly and seven years of service, including the Golden Age of Kings Hockey, will leave him being fondly remembered by all except Kurrilino.

I think for health reasons he should retire and the Kings can hire him as a trainer or coach, he could help with development of youth even if its just in the face off circle. Just need to stay away from the drugs. Seizures and drug use cannot lead to good things.

Personal issues aside, Stoll was a good King. Wish him well. He is still youngish and may be able to get another chance.

Uh ?

792 NHL games with another 93 playoff games to boot. Stoll is age 33 at the start of next season.

Stoll is old in the hockey world.

I wish Stoll good luck in all of his future stops. Also if he has an issue with health/substance abuse, I hope he seeks out the proper help.

Stoll was a good soldier as a King, guy never complained or blamed others for his poor performances. Stoll is a true PRO.

Thanks for everything Stolly! You'll have a fan wherever you go... Unless it's SJ/VAN/ANA

Solid 3rd line center for us and was a key player in a few situations in the postseason. Glad he got his charges reduced to community service and won't be facing anything serious from his summer mishap. Hopefully it causes himself to re-evaluate his lifestyle. Wish him all the best with whoever picks him up. He's not done by a long shot.

I was reading Sheldon Souray's retirement letter in the Players Tribune this morning and came across this passage that made me think of the type of guy Jarret Stoll was for the team:

Scott Stevens: Thank you for being the most professional player I’ve ever witnessed. I still can’t believe you jumped in and fought Eric Lindros for me in a freaking preseason game my rookie year. I just wanted to prove to you that I had your back. When I was traded to Montreal in 2000, it was a complete shock. I will never forget that you came to my hotel room and sat and [shot the breeze] with me for hours until I had to leave for my flight out.

From what I've heard and read, this would be something Stoll would do. On the ice he had declined, but Jarret was such a glue guy that he will be hard to replace. When Mike Richards came to the team in 2011, Stoll was the one showing him around, knowing that Richards was taking his position as a second-line center. When Matt Frattin began his brief stay with the team, Stoll and Matt Greene took him out to the beach for volleyball games. They helped make Carter integrate quickly (along with Richards), as well as Gaborik. Stoll even made his 2014 Day with the Cup into a hospital fundraising event. I'm not on the team, but I don't think I can think of another player that made people feel included as much as Jarret Stoll did.

When Lombardi talked about the prospects seeing how hard the pros worked in the gym, he singled out Stoll's work ethic. Stoll really helped make the Kings a family, so it's a shame that drugs took that family away from him. In tribute to him, I'll post the two videos we've seen before of Stoll with his teammates on the train and near the beach.

I would take Stoll back on a cheap one year deal. He'd be a fine 4th line center. Make Shore/Weal beat him out for the spot.

That said, there's probably another team out there willing to give him a better deal.
