50% one game:eek:

what do you have for Mookie Betts stats this year?

I know you had Knight penciled in as our 2nd line winger after 1 AHL goal and offseason yoga workout, but the reality has to set in someday. 23 years old is not young in the modern NHL, and Butch Cassidy or not - he gets max 2 more seasons in the AHL to figure it out before he is dropped from the roster.

So no games in NHL and yoga (power & hot) doesn't help.

At least you are specific so many here have to give escape routes when they eventually get proven wrong.

That said I wish we both could give cash to a bank on Knight based on your odds because I'd be enjoying your money

I was just checking out Zach Phillips' stats on yahoo:

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/9036/

I don't know why people are so negative on this deal.

Zach is a solid lefty who will strengthen our bullpen, especially down the stretch.

Admittedly, his numbers with Miami in recent years are underwhelming, but I understand that he's been working on getting his velocity back up, and he's added a splitter to his stuff.

I have my list of go to guys for knowledge and you are high on it- you are the one standing around OHL rinks kabitzing all things (ok most things ;) ) hockey. Gretzky I would say yes.

Btw I know you told me some stuff on Danton Heinen the Bruins mercurial 4th round pick. Was this Gretzky or that area scout. Someone has to be feeling good about where this is in time.

According to Kirk - he was told it was a "team effort" but Dean Malkoc did the hardest pushing for him

As for the bolded, you'd be surprised how many people around the rinks are talking women's hockey now as well.

I find the most interesting part is sitting in the media room before game time where you have two guys talking and you're trying to eavesdrop on their convo.

hey, I seen you in action, you just walk over:laugh:

to combine woman's hockey and Knight I suggest to anyone who has not seen Hillary Knight ESPN body issue last year check it out

I love Jared but he might have to take a back seat to Hillary as my favorite Knight.

Both guys have 10% chance to ever make it even to 100 NHL games. 50% they don't even see 1 NHL game. Both will reach the AHL development level games limit in 1-2 seasons and off to DEL they go.

These predictions (for both Phillips and Knight) are based on what exactly? Gut feeling? And one or two seasons (150+ games) is a long time. Who knows how either player will react to their new surroundings?...

Other than yourself I mean.

Wow!
Just googled imaged her.
Extremely pretty face, and muscles on top of muscles.
There is a pic of her nude on her skates, can't see any naught bits, but she is
built, arms rival the Williams sisters.

You were already giving cash to a bank in the 2012-13 offseason and said Knight would have a better future on the B's than Spooner and penciled him in for the 2nd liner winger not on the baby Bruins, but the the NHL ones. Your logic - he was doing yoga in the offseason to increase his mobility and "never felt better in his life". The reality was that he was among the first cuts from the roster during training camp.

My assumptions about his career projection are based on pure statistics. In 2 years, should he stay healthy, he will reach 260 pro games played and will lose his AHL "development player" status. Only 5 players like that can be dressed to an AHL game. This is the reason guys go to Europe. He has 2 years to prove he can stick with an NHL team. The trajectory doesn't look good. While I'm lacking insight on whatever or not he was really in Cassidy's doghouse, the fact is that considering his image of a hard working north south player who isn't afraid of use his body infront of the net there shouldn't be much reason for him to have only 8 goals in 123 pro games. Even for an enforcer who he is not - it's not good enough, bad coach or not.

I really thought this would be pretty much done with when he was traded, but apparently not.

Do you have any idea how many minutes Knight actually played in those pro games? Or who his linemates were? What kind of role he was used in, if any? And it isn't just Knight. Do you know how many minutes Phillips got? What style of play the coach liked as opposed to what Phillips does?

I would guess the answer is no to at least four of the five above. That being the case, how or even why do you come out with a bold definitive statement regarding the two players as if it was fact, when it's really just pure speculation. It's fine to have an opinion, and nearly everyone does, but in this case you are lacking the information on either of the players to even give an informed opinion, let alone make a statement like you did.

I'm still going by a combo of personal observation and inside info on him. My track record of assessing players although not perfect is excellent so if I miss on Knight it will be the exception not the norm.

Cassidy has no control over Knight now and now we will find out what we have.

It's absolutely not a speculation. While circumstances do matter it's foolish to assume that professional coaches would deliberately ruin players out of sheer will or stubbornness. You might think that it sure looked like it, but you don't have any insight of what was going on on a daily basis. And even if you had some insight (as DKH probably get from Knights family), it's always only one side of a coin. Even if Cassidy tried to do just that as you try to communicate Knight was still an asset to this organization and his development has been overseen by the front office as well. Do you really think they don't give a second thought about a player who was a part of the Kessel trade? Fact is you will fail to show me even half a dozen, or maybe even a single non-enforcer in recent history with such career trajectory as Knight (or Phillips for that matter) who somehow made a solid NHL career afterwards. I mean, even in a case of a player like Versteeg who exploded from a marginal WHL player to a respectable NHLer he still was more than solid in the AHL from the get-go.

time will be the judge if Knight flames out and ends up in DEL or whever you had him I'll admit I was off- I expect nothing more than the same from you if he goes the other way. I've always considered you and still do a good poster so I know you will be fair if he does make it.

Sure I know Knight but I dont stop there:laugh:

Maybe we just need to make a man-crush thread about the prospects we once loved so unconditionally. Oh, what life made of Sauves and Kaluses of this world.

I loved Kalus and went so far as to tell Sweeney soon after he should have traded Krejci instead. He explained (nicely) how Krejci was going to be very good.

I am still going to wait until 2020 before I'll concede I was 'slightly' off on this;)
