If we were to get rid of Bednar, what are people’s preferred replacement? Obviously Q has been brought up multiple times but who else?
Gallant could be an option. He has a short shelf life, but he gets the most out of his teams during that time.

Off the top of my head:Gallant could be an option. He has a short shelf life, but he gets the most out of his teams during that time.
He'd legit be the best hire by a country mile though. Like for on-ice results.Yep, and I knew you'd severely understate precisely why I'm against his hiring.
Not saying he’d be great here, or even if I’d want him but I want Boudreau to get another head coaching gig.Off the top of my head:
Quenneville
Gallant
Woodcroft
Boudreau (?)

Yes, yes I know he's an elite coach, and the best candidate to break Scotty Bowman's win record, which could possibly put him in line for consideration as the best coach ever. Doesn't matter.Off the top of my head:
Quenneville
Gallant
Woodcroft
Boudreau (?)

IMO we're are the point where the Avs need a good X an 0 coach, not a players' coach.I think Boudreau would be a decent hire
Well it's too late for Mclellan.f*** Boudreau, f*** Gallant, f*** Woodcroft.
I can't seriously belive some people are suggesting Gallant and Woodcroft. Boudreau I get, because he's a nice guy. Shitty coach, but a nice guy. Exactly what we need, right?
I don't like the prospect of hiring Quenneville for obvious reasons, but if you fire Bednar you better replace him with a good coach. None of the above are good coaches.
Does anybody have an update on these stats? Curious what they look like a month and some change later. Some stats to throw at you:
For Against Shots 13th 5th Scoring Chances 3rd 13th
Pre-Wedge Post-Wedge Overall Goals For 13th 7th 9th Goals Against 30th 11th 29th
Pre-Wedge Post-Wedge Overall Power Play 6th 31st 12th Penalty Kill 29th 9th 25h
In other words, Bednar is still coaching the team well. Colorado has actually increased their goal output this month, despite one stinkin' power play tally.
But context matters. In last night's snoozefest, a functional power play could've changed the game. Instead, it cost them the game, thanks to the shortie allowed.
