No, but it's 12-11 actually, it's 15-11 if you count 1974-1976 unofficial WJCs where both countries were presented.Gretzky said:I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Canada and Russia (including Soviet Union, CIS) both have 11 gold medals.
Well, like you said, both have allowed 6 goals so how exactly is (Khudobin better)? You are right of course, I live in Saskatoon and I watch him play every game for the Blades and their defense makes the Norwegians look good so Khudobin IS used to playing with crappy defense. However, he also chokes and collapses under pressure. I think he is a superb goaltender as well don't get me wrong. Pogge could very well not do very well and since this is Khudobins second gold medal game he might have an edge but is he better? Nope not by a long shot.TORRUS said:I don't understand how is everybody saying that Canada has a clear edge in goaltending.![]()
Statisticaly they both did similar (Khudobin even better). And also, according to many of you here, Canada has a much better defense. That tells me that Khudobin, playing behind weaker defense, has been doing superb.
I don't get it! Unless your statements are based on WHL stats...
