And he's one of the better husslers on the backcheck on this team. Last game he made two excellent plays.

He's not a star or anything, but he's been one of the very few consistent and solid forwards on this team over the past few seasons. I'd take him on this team anyday.

Did you watch the games last season? Did you watch how many PP's he nullified with a lazy hooking or tripping penalty? Lots of people here noticed it last season.
 
Holzer really is nothing special...Unfortunate, I was rooting for the guy. Might just be his first game but would definitely prefer Franson.

Kadri needs to get on that PP...has made something happen every time.

As many others have mentioned, Mac and the USSR have been junk.

Kessel and Lupul----where art thou?

Bozak has been noticeably good, lots of takeaways.

Orr looks faster out there tonight.




Somebody needds to cave Kaleta's face in.
 
I'm sorry guys but this may be only the second game of the year, but this crap has been going on since last season, I'm getting sick of Kulemin

Miller may be playing well, but have we seen a shot at the upper half of the net? If you shoot at the bottom half of the net all night of course Miller is going to put up a goose egg.

man I've been away from any Leaf boards for a few years now, but 10 minutes on this gameday thread reminds me why I left in the first place. One small mistake and half of Eastern Canada (or at least its representatives on this board) goes crazy at their keyboards and has to let the world know about.

It's 2-0, Scrivens is playing great and after all the complaining I read about how he he holds his glove he goes out and snags a hard shot for a great save. The first goal happened to bounce off someone's ass and the second goal was a clear missed call on the Gunnarson interference.

Hopefully the Leafs come storming out of the gate and kill it this period, if not for the sake of the game but also just to shut up all the haters a.k.a. diehard Leaf fans. Sorry for the rant, I just bleed blue and white and it kills me when our own fans spew more vitriol towards the Leafs than ottawa and hab fans combined.

Go Leafs Go.
 
Hopefully some good coaching here will get them going in the third .. Just need a good bounce to get back into it

Down 2 goals isn't impossible to come back from

Yeah Kulemin is seriously pissing me off..Lets just trade the guy to Pittsburgh and get a good return.

He plays good defensively but the offense just isn't there at all. He doesn't even try to get the puck to the net anymore.

getting in Miller's face would help, we look scared to get anywhere near the blue paint.
 
We will expose them in the 3rd. Carlyle will get Komarov, mcclem and probably maca to get under Miller's skin. Break that damn goalies concentration!:yo::handclap:

2 goals on 11 shots is not great. It's impossible to really grade him because there has been hardly ANY real pressure on our net from Buffalo.

Yeah, but over the course of the season with Lu in net we'd steal at least 4 or 5 games due to good goaltending (as opposed to the amount we'll steal as is - zero)
