Just need one and it's a brand new game.

Not sure how we didn't score at least one of those but what can you do.

Leafs are playing solid defensive hockey though. Only allowed 11 shots, one goal was completely lucky.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!! Some posters literally make me lol.

Miller is standing on his head, its not like we haven't had any decent scoring chances.

Only down by two, lots of time to tie er up. Go leafs!

It's paramount we kill the penalty and score early for any chance of a comeback. We have to get people in front of Miller!!

Really tailed off last season, lazy play and lots of ill timed dumbass penalties(not blaming on the last one)

He's taken 32 minor penalties over the last 164 games. (33 in 166 after the last two games) :help:

And he's one of the better husslers on the backcheck on this team. Last game he made two excellent plays.

He's not a star or anything, but he's been one of the very few consistent and solid forwards on this team over the past few seasons. I'd take him on this team anyday.

The more I watch the Leafs the more I realize how difficult it must be to be the coach. I keep watching them thinking "RUN MILLER OVER" or "I don't care if Kaleta refuses to drop the gloves. I don't care if you get the extra penalty. Break his face."

To maintain any level of calm while standing behind the bench, mad respect.

My team would be 0-48-0 though.

If they're going to call us for nothing anyway, we might as well make the penalties worthwhile. Time to get on the body and start crashing the net hard.

strange
its like his head isnt balanced

Why are there so many freakin' penalties? For crying out loud! This is stupid.

Maybe not even the refs fault but seriously enough with the penalties.

Leafs are looking....not good, to say the least. Poor Scrivey. I like the guy but I have zero confidence in him.

Its only game two and its Ryan Miller but the offense seems to be taking a hit. Expected, I guess.

I don't really think we're playing that bad.

They just got a fluke goal and a semi breakaway.

While we can't find a way to get one past Miller. Need more presence in front of the net...for a tip, rebound etc...need just one early garbage goal to get this going.

I think we can come back.

They've had 11 shots and we're losing.

We're not playing that bad, Scrivens had a fluke goal and the other was 50/50.

I am trying to watch. It's hard not to look away when Kessel is floating around on the ice. Makes me think of Seguin and Hamilton.

Seguin was dynamite this afternoon for Boston. Set up their lone goal on a great play and then won it in the shoot it with amazing moves.

IMO, the team played better in the second than the first.

Kessel and bozak were buzzing everywhere. Miller's been standing on his head the whole game, our team has been making lots of chances and has taken the shots. You can't say much when the goalie is just that good. They're doing what they can. They should inprove in the third, some stupid mistakes, but the chances were there.

And quite giving up on scrivens already, its two games in and the goals weren't his fault

The shots are 21-11, we're not playing THAT bad. They had a ****** bounce and a goal that should have been a penalty. We get one in the third and we're back in it.

And Kaleta is a huge *****.

You must be doing a lot more looking away than watching because this is actually some of the most back checking I have seen Kessel do to date.

As for the game, Kaleta is on my early list of gutless players. Guy goons Kessel for "running" Miller (really Miller was floating way out of his crease and Kessel skated into him while he was looking for the pick). Mike Brown wants to go and he just skates off. Can't handle the real tough guys I guess?

Jesus Christ! The tank talk here is annoying...I hope the mods take that crap out of this thread.

The only reason we should be talking of tank is if the Leafs aren't ~.500 or anywhere near it after 10 games.

First goal: No goalie in the world is stopping. It went off Hodgson's glove right into the net.
Second goal: 3 on 1...Gunnar gets tripped at the blue line, no call, they capitalize.

I can't really blame Scrivens on a 3 on 1...those are usually goals more often than not.

We haven't played bad..just haven't been able to beat Miller.

The season isn't 2 games old and we're talking of tank already.
