Was at the game last night ; Dobes was outstanding again. He oozes confidence and looks intimidating in his net. I would be very curious to see how he handles himself in the NHL
Behind a coherent NHL team he wouldn't look out of place right now but that's not the situation in Montreal. I think he gets several games this season though, maybe 5-10.Was at the game last night ; Dobes was outstanding again. He oozes confidence and looks intimidating in his net. Monty is a band-aid starter for sure. I'm confident he can bounce back and improve if the D can sort it out. I can see Primeau being moved and Monty get moved to a backup roleHe's got a wide open shot to take the 1G position before Fowler does.
Monty and Primeau ain't it.
Happened with 4 seconds left in the gameAnd we saw it correctly. He's hurt. Day-to-day.

Good that it's just day to day; he needs a good full season in the AHL. Would be cool to see him get a game later in the year, too before taking Laval deep in the playoffs.
I agree. Look at how long the Leafs kept Woll down there.Dobes will be ready for a role with the big team next season. I want him to focus 100% on taking Laval as far as possible for now.
He has the whole toolbox (size, athleticism, mental, swagger, drive, etc etc etc etc). No reason why he can'tGoalies are so hard to project, let's hope he will be part of our future.
Noticeable traits today. 1- Goalies are big. This guy is massive. 2- He really comes out to confront shooters, 3- He swallows pucks. 4- He’s really good with his stick. He has the whole toolbox (size, athleticism, mental, swagger, drive, etc etc etc etc). No reason why he can't
