I can’t imagine the trade that is realistic that also makes the penguins better. Every reactionary trade they make makes them worse lately.
The correct answer:I can't tell if you're a stupid guy getting irritated at people discussing hockey trades on a hockey trade forum, or if you're a troll pretending to be a stupid guy getting irritated at people discussing hockey trades on a hockey trade forum.
Either way - and I mean this in all sincerity - find something else to do. What you're doing is just making you look like an arrogant moron.
I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous thing to call someone in this day and age, knowing what we know...Hey Sizzlechest ! don't flatter yourself
UHHHHHHHHH what do we know????I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous thing to call someone in this day and age, knowing what we know...
Let me guess...you looked at that random definition on Urban Dictionary. That's not what the term means. That was the Jerky Boys' way of saying "chisel chest."I'm sorry, but this is a ridiculous thing to call someone in this day and age, knowing what we know...
Too funny. Not in this leagueFor Guentzel to be available, it means the Penguins are out of the playoff race big time. That means they will want one of two things: blue-chip prospects or 1st round-draft picks.
At 50% retention, you're looking at a proven top line 40g scoring LW at $3mil who is 28. I can't imagine the price will be cheap. I think you're looking at 1st, a blue-chip prospect, and maybe a younger roster player.
The Horvat is a decent starting point: 1st, Raty, Beauvillier (with him being the 40-50pt scorer). Debrincat isn't bad either: 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Yes, he's a RFA but Jake is a proven 40g who bring that production to the playoffs. He's just flat-out not going to be cheap.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a 2 1sts trades made, perhaps one being conditional.
Guentzel would fetch an insane amount if made available and if you don’t think so, you’re just wrong.Too funny. Not in this league
I see the term overpay alot on here but just how often does it really happen?Guentzel would fetch an insane amount if made available and if you don’t think so, you’re just wrong.
Guy has won a Cup and sits #8 all time in playoff goals per game. Ahead of guys like MacKinnon, Drai, McDavid, Ovi, Kurri.
If you still think Guentzel is a product of Sid in the year 2023, you have some major catching up to do. It’s not 2017 anymore.
Trading Jake, who can be ppg on his own line (ppg to start last season playing with Zucker and Rodrigues,) with Sid or Geno would be gravely stupid unless we were tearing it al
Of Guentzel's 73 points this season, Crosby was in on 52 of them. Last season 84, 57.He'd fetch a ransom without retention. I think that was his point - alongside it being super cheap.
Why the hell would we retain when we're trying to remain competitive - on a contract that in no world requires retention. We might include a cap dump alongside to take a lesser return (Granlund).
- .9 ppg over his career including .43 gpg
- most impressive is that he's ppg in the playoffs. 58p / 58 games including 34 goals.
At 6M, even with 1 year left he's got just about every team in the league calling.
Of Guentzel's 73 points this season, Crosby was in on 52 of them. Last season 84, 57.
Over the last two seasons his 5v5 xGF% is 39.98 without Crosby.
Some guys have good chemistry with superstars but it's hard to know their value away from them.
Connor is a step above Guentzel. So, on the NYI board game 6 thread they were talking about the loss and someone said Barzal for Kyle Connor. Barzal for Guentzel?
I think “a step” overstates it. I would say “a skosh”. Semantics though.Connor is a step above Guentzel.
