Second most interesting man in the world.
Pearson is not just an excellent shot, but also a gritty player, which was needed with this bunch. At least one who combines hard-nosed play with the ability to laser one top-corner.
there's no pleasing some people. If we win, they cry bc of the tank. If we lose, oh how horrible we have no talent wahhhh. I'm cheering for this team until we're out of it, then I'll embrace the tank for the remainder of the season. We have to build something at some point.
I think that string of penalties is the momentum killer. Stay out of the box. Go from most penalized to least penalized team, then we'll see. It's true though, that they need a new PP approach.Habs played a decent first 10 mins, then shat the bed for the second and last half of the third. If they can just keep it more consistent they'd be alright. The PP is always a momentum killer (even though they scored tonight with their 4th line lol)
I..... don't hate it lolUnpopular opinion but since we are still “rebuilding” anyway, I would shuffle the line at some point when Dvorak is back to have something like this:
Caufield-Monahan-Safkovsky
Newhook-Suzuki-Anderson
Pearson-Dvorak-Gallagher
RHP-Evans-Ylonen
Rational:
- I think the Caufield-Suzuki duo statistically speaking, is among the least efficient first line duo in the league. I don’t know why we always see them as a “lock” together unquestionably.
- Suzuki and Anderson low-key having a tough start of season. I think a shake up wouldn’t hurt them. Also would be interesting to put our 2 fastest wingers on the same line and see how that could translate. The potential is worth the try.
- Slaf needs to play with a center that can control the pace and hold on to the puck. Newhook plays too fast for him. Would also be interesting to see Caufield play with 2 bigger guys.
- Straight forward bottom 6: a veteran line and a younger “higher tempo” line.
I think this is worth a shot when Dvo is back, barring a major surprise.
our 1C can shoot the puck, he just doesn't do it enough.I can't believe we are 3-1-1. Special teams have been a complete disaster, we don't shoot the puck enough, the defensemen are headless chickens, and our 1C can't shoot the puck.
The Habs can afford some sports psychologists. They should be on the forefront with that activity.our 1C can shoot the puck, he just doesn't do it enough.
I like it a lot actuallyI..... don't hate it lol
yeah but his job is not to shoot, it's to not get scored onHarris shoots like a moumoune. He should definitely sit.
Ylonen deserves a bit more icetime. I'd be curious to see him play with Slaf. Also add me to the Suzuki CC separation. It will do the team good to see what happens
I resse une chose.Sacrament ça se peut pas ARIEN comprendre au hockey comme Gaston Therrien pis être payé pour parler de quelque chose qu'il ne comprend même pas. Chaque affaire qu'il est une plus grande stupidité que la stupidité précédente.
I'd rather explore Barron's potential for a few games and see where he's at. I already know what Harris is.yeah but his job is not to shoot, it's to not get scored on
Kent Hughes is elite in finding such players .Pearson is really blowing my expectations after the preseason I didn’t even think he was a nhl level player, but he is solid, even the skating isn’t graceful he is very effective with is positioning /route and is shot is always kind of surprisingly good. I think he could be a depth option for a playoff I’m expecting something like a 5th but if he keep it up those expectations might also be blown away.
If nothing else changes, Monahan is moving to the first line when Dvo is back IMO.I don't like Newhook at center. He's better off the wing. I'm guessing he'll move back to wing once Dvorak is back.
Why not try Newhook on the first line at wing. He's not a centerman and might spark that line. Then you can have Slaf play with a real center that will only help him.If nothing else changes, Monahan is moving to the first line when Dvo is back IMO.
And he got PP time on the first unit!!!Alright Anderson really has to go. I don't even mind Gallagher because even though he's broken, he's still fighting for his life.
Anderson? God damn, Parker-Jones would have done better tonight.
Nah. He's fast, he's big, he can crush people but the dude is completly out of it mentally. He is not trying, at all. Tonight was the nail in the coffin for me, he didn't deserved any ice time after a certain shift where he did f*** ALL. He came back to help the defense but was instead a nuisance for our dmen not covering shit and simply let passes go right through him. He was more than brutal tonight.
Maybe the worst game of Anderson that I've seen. Dude is just skating around batting the puck to random places for no coherent reasons.
Where's the Andy from Preseason? Let's hope that the 22 scouts weren't here to watch him play.
I'd 100% send a message, Anderson out, Armia in.
Rant over.
