It's lower of either Anaheim's or Detroit's fourth in 2025.I guess I missed it. What's the condition attached to the pick?
lower as in better? It's lower of either Anaheim's or Detroit's fourth in 2025.
No lower is worse. Higher is better. I try to remember it as the number one pick is the top of the draft and every pick brings you closer to the bottom.lower as in better?
Damn so we got fleeced. Fire Drury. Can't even get the good 4th round pickNo lower is worse. Higher is better. I try to remember it as the number one pick is the top of the draft and every pick brings you closer to the bottom.
In all seriousness it doesn’t look like there will be a big gap between these two picks and for 4th round even 10-15 difference is pretty much negligible.Damn so we got fleeced. Fire Drury. Can't even get the good 4th round pick
From the city? Never. But Fox is from Long Island not the city. When have the Rangers ever had a captain from NYC? Ever?
Rochester may as well be canadaFrom the city? Never. But Fox is from Long Island not the city.
And cally was from Rochester.
Or a guarantee that he would be getting moved. His wife is already across the country, why wouldn't he agree to go to a cup contender for a few months?Doubtful. his agent talked to teams beforehand. I assume he wasnt going anywhere without the guarantee that he’d be there through the end of the season
None of them wanted him.Or a guarantee that he would be getting moved. His wife is already across the country, why wouldn't he agree to go to a cup contender for a few months?
Because he doesnt care about going to a contender. He has stated a million times he values his wife’s medical career, and California checks a ton of boxes for them. His wife will be joining him in Anaheim this summer and they’ll stay through next season. I can maybe see him moved at the 2026 TDL but the return will be so underwhelming I can see Anaheim just holding onto him. I also wouldnt be shocked if he resigns in Anaheim.Or a guarantee that he would be getting moved. Not at 8 mil, but with money retained every contender would want him. Whether you agree with it or not, a big, physical defensemen who is known as one of the biggest throwback open ice hitters in the league with leadership qualities and a lot of playoff experience is what every contending team will be bidding over if. It’s honestly not even a question.None of them wanted him.
Her residency is over this summer, that is what he was concerned with. They were already planning on making new arrangements next year. I highly doubt they decided on her career path being Anaheim on like 24 hours notice. Maybe he stays, but I think he would absolutely waive to go to a contender and I think it's silly to assume otherwise. Especially if that contender is closer to NY in an Eastern division.Because he doesnt care about going to a contender. And not one of those guys you mentioned is an intimidating fighter either. Who’s the last guy you can remember laying someone out with a huge open ice hit? There’s a lot that we’re gonna miss but people will overlook it because of the contract. We should be more pissed off that Zibanejad is still here. One of Carrick, Cuylle, or even Kreider would drop the gloves in a heat of the moment context on the ice where initiating a fight was a warranted response to something that happened to a teammate. Lindgren will also fight but he's not very good at it. Since Trouba was neither a frequent nor regarded as an intimidating fighter to go up against - I personally do not view his absence from the line-up as being any real issue when it comes to that particular aspect of the game.
Carrick-zero intimidationCarrick will fight anyone. There are other guys to handle middleweights.
No one cares about intimidation. Put a fighter in the lineup and guys still get hit. Do you have guys who will respond if something happensAnd not one of those guys you mentioned is an intimidating fighter either. Who cares about intimidation??? The guys who know nothing will happen if they start running our team.No one cares about intimidation. Put a fighter in the lineup and guys still get hit. Do you have guys who will respond if something happens

YesYup they're both better than him at this point and there are more in Hartford.
Let's force the captaincy on zib lol
You mean cause of Goodrow?
Cally played like a Canadian .Rochester may as well be canada
Yeah...he likely just delighted he got a deal . I would say he is cooked . Maybe if he had some more help on his right side as in Rempe we see more from Carrick .And not one of those guys you mentioned is an intimidating fighter either. I don’t know. Carrick is fearless and not a complete punching bag. He’ll stand up for teammates. That’s what you need. More important to show up than be able to win every fight.Cally played like a Canadian .

yup we’ll know soon enough. that being said, this wasn’t a snap decision. theyve thought about this for several months and had already identified Anaheim as a city they’d like to go to way before this trade went down. Her residency is over this summer, that is what he was concerned with. Guess we'll find out in a few months.
