Confirmed with Link: Jacob Trouba traded to Anaheim Ducks for Urho vaakanainen and 4th Round conditional pick

I don't think anyone will be given the C for the remainder of the year either. The team doesn't seem to be in a great place psychologically and that would a lot of pressure on any individual given that job. It probably wasn't ideal for Trouba either this year after Drury tried to move him over the summer. Listening to the players and even a beat reporter like Mollie Walker talk about this and they all seemed to like Jacob a lot. The pre game locker room interviews were almost funerary.

Still it was a good deal for the Rangers. As far as the Ducks are concerned if they can flip him for more when the value left on his contract goes it could turn out a good deal for them too. If you're going to be a fan players come and go. Given time players decline. No reason getting too pissed off with anyone especially once they're off the team.

I have gone through the medschool/residency/fellowship pipeline. Her career is more important than his and I stand by that.

Not about villifying her, but her career is not our problem. Whose career is more important is certainly just between them, I could not care less, and Jacob should have given up some money if he wanted a NMC for his entire contract.

Cant give anyone the C when there are still trades to be made. I think it's likely we will see Trocheck take the C as a stopgap at some point, if they dont add an alpha type player like Tkachuk

I dont really care if its fox's dream. I dont think his personality fits.

Laf has been captain of every major team he's been a part of. Including Canada WJC.
His pre-draft report had him compared to messier leadership wise. He has that nasty that we love in our captains, but he does it with talent.

Seriously stop handing it to the guy from NY because he was born here.
Captain is about the personality, not the place of birth.

No getting around that he is slow, not horrific defenseman, but we NEED better than what he provided. Others will have to be better, no getting around that as well, until hopefully Drury fills that void. Would think Mancini and Jones will get ample PT now.

Yep. He threw some big hits but he didn’t really step up for teammates very often. He was injured for the Wilson thing, I think. But there were times a guy is running around. You’d like your captain to straighten things out. Can anyone remember anything like that happening?

We opened the season against Washington the year after the Wilson incident. Trouba and Reaves didn’t even look his direction and a bad Caps team trounced them. It set the tone that the Rangers they were fake tough from the start

I offered the trade on ea nhl 25. Anaheim accepted it no problem. Even laughed at me saying they felt they were stealing or something like that. Suckers

Oh and then i went i to contract negotiations with Shesty. He only wanted 7.55/year for 6 years. So yup, signed him.
 
They definitely shouldn't give the C to anybody right now.

Doubtful. his agent talked to teams beforehand. I assume he wasnt going anywhere without the guarantee that he’d be there through the end of the season
