How’s Trevor Moore doing lately. Ahh never mind :)

The trade already paid for itself ha. I hope Dubas goes for Ullmark regardless of Andersen improving or not. $2,600,000 cap hit is doable

Campbell has been amazing, but damn, I’m so scared of him re-aggravating that LBI. If he goes down, we’re f***ed. Need to trade for some insurance - Ullmark, Kuemper, Raanta, whatever, just get a second quality goalie.

Campbell doing what Andersen can't do. Making clutch saves to keep the Leafs in the game and actually able to win a shootout. This is why he needs to be the number one guy as long as he can hopefully stay healthy.

Leafs need to hire kneesovertoesguy

I'm really rooting for him stay healthy and have the prime if his career in Toronto. He definitely has the ability.

Sure looks like we're setting Freddie free after this season
Wouldn't mind seeing him next year on a prove-it contract since we've been kept in the shadow about the extent of his injuries. A season where Andersen is in more of a 1B role to Campbell would provide a lot of value as opposed to rolling the dice with UFA or going with our internally-developed options that, as this season showed, we weren't confident enough to play ahead of our 4th stringer.

He isn't owed a prove-it contract after all he's done so far, though..

I'm in the opposite side of things here. Freddy's done enough to suggest the team show loyalty:
- played behind a rebuilding team,
- continually faced the most shots in the league, and
- by all accounts this season, it looks like he was obligated to play hurt due to the lack of capable goaltending options

We haven't heard a peep from him about anything and by all accounts, we might just be rolling the dice in trying to replace him. I don't think he'll be asking for the moon.

Not sure I fully understand you post but have Campbell on contract for one more season

That was likely even before his game started regressing last year given his current 5M and Hyman needing a bump. Add his poor performance since last year and his inability to EVER outperform the opposite teams goalie in a playoff series and it's pretty clear he's not coming back.

I hope he can stay healthy. He looks composed and in the zone. Small sample size but he looks like the real deal. Hopefully we can pick up a decent goalie to platoon with him and let the cream rise to the top.
