Then take a simple no? Idk what’s with all of your questions?…we don’t want that package for Miller. It’s not even close. Simple.

It's a pretty steep fall to possibly lose him for nothing/a lot less because you had such high demands.

It's kind of fascinating.

Why do Leafs fans always think they can offer garbage for Canucks players?

It makes the Leafs Canucks trade proposal forums a colossal waste of time.

One thing I don't get about hf is that we see year in year out that players don't tend to fetch what the hf ask is (or what their value is to be fair) yet the hf ask never goes down to reflect that. It's pretty consistent team to team too. We all want the max for our players so I get it but it means that every trade proposal here invariably goes "he's worth more", "well that's the best offer we'll give", "ok we'll keep him". And then when the player's traded it's usually closer to the offer than the ask.

Keeping him rather than lose him for a Offer than does not fit our needs is not really all that fascinating…would you trade Nylander/Marner at 29 for a bad offer or keep them knowing they’re still an effective top line player? Miller is a PPG stud that can play anywhere. Blow us out of the water with an offer or we reevaluate next year.
