Then where is Chris Phillips on your list? 76 PIMS and +16 if you're going by that criteria.

Bertuzzi's only 30. When he's on, there isn't a forward like him in the league. If he's motivated, and playing a robust physical game, using his speed and his strength, he'll be one of the most important players in the tournament, regardless of his production.Metallian said:*checks his windows clock*
for a second, you made me forget its 2006
If you want a guy who's played on the big ice, Boyle played in Sweden all last year. He was a big part of a Cup winning team. He's also older. If you're talking experience, the ONLY place Bouwmeester might have the edge is international tourneys, but that's about it.canucksfan said:Bouwmeester gets the nod over Boyle because of the experience.

yes, and if things go badly for team ca, he can help by shortening the roster of their opponent...God Bless Canada said:Bertuzzi's only 30. When he's on, there isn't a forward like him in the league. Phaneuf does that toomrpither said:how much offense does this team really need from the defense? i would want more stay-at-home defensive minded guys (hannan types) to help keep more pucks outta your own net.

Where do we sign him up?
Phanuthier said:Phaneuf does that too
I gave Bouwmeester the credit that he was a far better skater, and the experiance, but other then that, yes! Phaneuf really is a solid, all around player. No glaring weakness's, much like Scott Stevens.Metallian said:Phaneuf does everything. Phaneuf is the perfect defenceman.![]()
My biggest problem isnt' actually Bouwmeester (although I'd perfer Boyle), but Phaneuf should be there instead of McCabe.gobert said:I'v always been a big Bouwmeester fan, so I can't say I'm not happy about it, but I do think Phaneuf deserved to go, he's been unreal.. But he WILL get his chance.

Not the taxi-squad, not a call up to the taxi-squad. He should have been a top 4 defenceman for Canada.
Instead this useless "experience" gimmick is glorified for no substantial reason...
Anyone why Canada is the only team to believe this crap?

Heck, Ukraine almost beat Canada last tournament...
The team needed a shakeup and instead its just regressed
