Why would a team be interested in trading for Tyler Ennis? An undersized, inconsistent, water bug forward who brings nothing of particular note to the table.

Because he can produce. There would definitely be interest, just a matter of whether or not it's from Colorado.

----

With each game they lose, it becomes more and more painstakingly obvious that Lindy's "system" just doesn't ****ing work, at least now with this personnel. These good have enough talent to be an average, maybe above average team. Trying to pidgen hole them into a system they just aren't able to execute is MADDENING. ****.

Here's something... like Bucky said THIS TEAM CAN SKATE AND SCORE WITH THE BEST, just give it some time already. Everyone's so on edge because we had a **** football season now the sabres are playing bad. I think they will be fine once they start gelling. Myers looks like solid form has taken ahold again, he responds well to benching.

And I can't remember someone said Griggs should of been playing in the AHL? Come on he has the ULTIMATE ice vision. If Ott would of been a little faster on that back of net play.

thats certainly the most pessimistic way to look at him, but if were being more realistic he would draw tons of interest.

Except for being the only forward outside of our top line that can generate any offense on a nightly basis for us..

You should know by now. It's his schtick. It's a tired schtick, but one nonetheless. I know Ennis would draw a healthy amount of interest. No doubt.

G: Happy second birthday, Simi!

Nice

I'd like to welcome you all to the real-world notion that Sulzer is a bad defenseman in terms of....defense. Everyone on here (member list) has their specialties, things they watch or focus in on more than others, and mine happens to be defenseman and defensive play, seeing as that was my upbringing as a player playing the position for 20+ years, and my unquestionable philosophy as a coach. Sulzer is a liability. Why? Let's see...feel free to stop reading now if you want to be ig'nant:

- He's a turnover machine.

- Stalls breakouts/transitions with regularity because of awful puck handling with any form of pressure remotely close to him.

- He refuses to retrieve the puck in the corner at full speed in fear of taking the INEVITABLE hit from a forechecker that EVERY ****ING DEFENSEMAN HAS TO TAKE IN ORDER TO PLAY THE POSITION

- HE lacks any semblance of knowledge on how to play opponents in one-on-ones. Watch his eyes when guys are coming down on him. He's staring at the puck as if it were the sexiest nipple he has ever seen. PICK YOUR HEAD UP AND WATCH THE CHEST. He exhibits bad habits that you try to work out of Squirt defensemen.

He played above his head last year after being re-energized by a change in scenery. He was also keeping it simple and playing it safe...he was giving himself an extra half-step of distance in terms of gaps in order to situate himself better, which, for any other defenseman, is borderline sinful - but with him, it was a good thing because he needs the extra half-second and foot or two of space to prepare himself for someone skating in on him.

Continuing:

- He's soft

- He doesn't hit at all

- He's easy peasy lemon squeezy to play against in front of our net.

This isn't to blame the loss on him by any means. I just wanted to enlighten the handful of people who maintain that he's an asset, or that get "baffled" when Lindy scratches him in favor of Weber.

____________

There are so many problems with this team, and I'm fully aware that Sulzer isn't the main one. But he's just not good. Felt the need to rant about that.

First game I watched this season.

G: I was impressed by Ehrhoff.

B: Pominville. Saw him a few weeks ago in the DEL, he rocked the game back then. Yesterday I was very disappointed with his performance. Okay, he plays against real players now.

U: The Crowd. Like in the opera. I will never understand why nobody sings and supports in North America.

A broke ass, vagina version of Hank, sure.

Hank was soft here, but never scared of doing his job. He was also pretty good positionally, knew how to put himself in good spots to thwart rushes without being physical. Great with his stick too.

I deleted the things Hank was good at! :)

Oh I dunno, maybe cuz he's putting up numbers like Thornton,et al, but with way less support.

Almost in the Danube
G - Effort
Miller
Ehrhoff
Vanek
Hodgson (on the offensive side of the game)

B - Outcome. Not an efficient way to tank
- Discipline at times
- The captain. Reason that VHP is cooling off a bit?
U - Refing. No penalty on permanently crosschecking Vanek? are you ********** kidding me? If this had been Crosby, there would have been three pps. At least.

I was there, and totally agree with this. Granted...the other team scored twice in the first two minutes, but it was completely dead in that arena during the first period. I turned to my girlfriend and said "it was quieter in here during the anthems" and it was true.

Read these boards for 10 minutes. Then see if you can figure out why on one is excited at the games.

Why is Foligno on so many bad lists? He was driving the net with gusto. That's what he does.

Agreed. He's been much better lately and was making plays yesterday. His consistency is up, he's taking the body and bouncing through contact when shielding the puck. No issues with him right now.

Makes sense, I'm afraid. I personally attributed some of this to shot confidence after being benched, when others would've deserved it more.

Also, didn't we all love the cinderella story from Canucks healthy scratch to Sabres top 4 dman?
