Relative to who? Leopold? It was one of Gerbe's best games too and he has yet to score a goal. I'm sick of excuses. Blow the team up. Fire Ruff. Trade Leopold, Regehr for whatever you can get. Let's get the young guys like McNabb up and see if he can play. This season is just about over. Let's use it to learn and get a high pick.

I like Ennis, but I can't help thinking we're approaching his version of Derek Roy's 2007-10 seasons. That is, high-scoring seasons that won't lead us much of anywhere if we don't have a well-constructed forward corps. I'm all for getting ROR if we can do so without moving Ennis, but if we have to move Ennis to get him, I think we have to. I'm of the belief that Hodgson can center one of the scoring lines, and we'll sink or swim on Grigorenko's development.

But today underscored our biggest problem: we have nobody to match up against the top lines in the league. Crosby's line had its way with us. He was on the ice for 3 ES goals, and he scored a PP marker. We need someone that we can throw out the every time the Crosbys and Girouxs come over the boards, and we just don't have that player.

Thanks guys. I was there today and I noticed CoHo getting eaten alive on faceoffs. In fact Pominville stepped in a few times instead. Good to see Pominviile and Hecht have a good day in that regard. Some games Cody looks good on faceoffs, some games not so much. More experience will help. Growing pains.

and lets add, that Oreilly is probably one of the best 18-21 yr olds we've ever seen perform that role.

I agree with this. As much as I like Ennis, they should move him for O'Reilly, if that's the price.

I would do it. Pysyk, McNabb, JGL, etc. will all be ready soon (Well, hopefully). While the pickings are slim in FA defenseman this summer, players like Smid, Scuderi (Old, but still somewhat effective), Hainsey, White, and Babchuk could all be stopgaps.

If Hodgson becomes a top line center then Ennis will be fine. Roy was Buffalo's top line center. A role he couldn't handle by himself. There was also zero depth behind him. He never had the luxury of having a legitimate top 6 center to relieve some pressure.



Ennis in his prime should be a good second line center. Hodgson should become a good top six center. Grigorenko is a wildcard at this point. Ennis should have the situation most of us hoped Roy could've had. Buffalo only had one top six center from 2007-2011, and that was Roy.

I was too. My hopes for this season are completely gone. They gave one of the most talented teams in the league and a team that has historically owned them a run for their money. I had fun overall and had a good time going back and forth with the Pens fans in our section.

Once again, the postgame interviews are worse to watch than the game. For One, I want to say that I like pominville and he DOES make this team better. That being said, he is the captain and should sound a tiny bit like a captain in a post game interview after a loss. Like every other interview, i heard from him 'We are doing things better", "we are moving in the right direction", "we played a solid game, but just couldn't pull it off in the end".......You team just came back from falling behind 2-0 to take the lead in the third period and then LOST without even getting into overtime, so for once in your lives, get mad about it. THEY NEVER ACT LIKE THEY CARE. I personally was pissed after the game and pounded my coffee table, as im sure many fans did. When the pens scored the game winning goal, Lindy Ruff had ZERO expression on his face, as if if was complete luck that this happened, and that no one was to blame whatsoever. Why don't the players ever get even close to as angry as the fans, Miller is the only one who gives a flying *******, which he obviously portrayed after the game. But what I want to say to Pominville, and Ott, and every other player who said the same things after the game is, NO this game did NOT make you a better team, there is NOTHING to take away from this game, it does not matter what period you did well in because you lost the game, STOP saying the standard hockey loss answer and act like you care, and pominville, come right out and BLAME YOURSELF for that one goal, you are the captain, take the blame, you have the most lackluster attitude and you are sleep talking with the media, so the team is following YOU because you are the captain, miller should not be the ONLY PLAYER/COACH who shows any emotion.....in millers credit, even when he's playing bad, he cares and he shows that he cares.....no one else shows it......GET PISSED....the thing im most pissed about is that they are not pissed

I think it was the closest we've seen to a 60-minute effort this year. More like a 58 1/2 minute effort. But I was entertained for one of the few times this season.
